My self-summary
Why hello there! I'm Muse.
I love to burst into song and dance, spin poi, shoot zombies, paint on everything, listen to TED talks, browse wikipedia, watch Dr. Who, travel, listen to music, play the piano and violin, do yoga and shower people with affection.
I hope you enjoy my page, you fantastic okcupid stalker, you!
What I’m doing with my life
Giving sketches away to strangers on the bus, writing short stories and poetry. Biking across town with purple cat ears on my helmet. Burning inscense. Bellydancing and hooping to classical indian music. Looking up the definitions of words. Watching nature documentaries.
I’m really good at
Ideation;
I like to find new, novel and entertaining things to do; collecting hubcaps by the side of the road, tap dancing in tunnels, walking on top of the railroad tracks like it's a balance beam, stopping to pick up cool looking rocks, with hopes of later identifying them.

Some verbs I'm good at:
Spinning poi, gloving, dancing, painting, writing.

I have a passion for learning, and I proudly identify as a nerd.
Scientific Method is awesome and knowledge is a beautiful thing.

Curiosity, you guys! omagawsh! Not only one of my favorite virtues, but it now also has the association of robots taking pictures of other robots...on Mars! Dude! I love NASA.
The first things people usually notice about me
toe shoes, exposed midriff, freckles, wearing a tiny little hat tipped off to the side and I'm covered in paint.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I like all sorts of music, from german raggae to middle eastern dub wobbly trance music to indie rock and trip hop.
As far as shows, I love Doctor Who, Star Trek, Dollhouse, Firefly, Arrested Development, Weeds, and Nature Documentaries. Anything that has David Attenborough or Joss Whedon involved.
I shamelessly know most of the words to the songs from Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along-Blog :D
The six things I could never do without
I can't think of anything particularly witty to put in this section right now so here's a link to a bunch of kittens being cute: http://images2.fanpop.com/image/photos/9700000/Adorable-lil-Kittens-cute-kittens-9781752-1024-768.jpg
I spend a lot of time thinking about
the cosmos, how I could turn everything I come in contact with into art, going back in time and giving little pieces of advise to people, random one-liners that turn into characters, how other people would react to the same stimulus (for instance, instead of bitching like some people when I do chores I think about how some people used to be slaves or suffered conditions so much worse than mine and whatever problems I have are just silly little white people problems and then I burst into song)
I spend a lot of time thinking about thinking, so as to be one step ahead of my brain. I try not to think thoughts that won't benefit me, and replace them with thoughts that are better equipped to lead me through the task at hand or the life I'd like to lead. I take into careful consideration the wrinkles I make in my brain.
On a typical Friday night I am
crying deeply into my pillow.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I am Kira.

...wow, that really isn't helping me to fix okcupid thinking I am a less kind person. I am a really kind person...just ignore that I kill hundreds of mean and stupid people every day with a magical book thing. I've done volunteer work at animal shelters and I make a point of putting blankets of adoration and encouragement onto people. I want make people feel better and fulfill their full potential, even if I don't think they actually will, I won't let that view be expressed, because people will surprise you if you don't limit them.
Like there have been people I thought were annoying tools until I had a good conversation with them about quantum mechanics or good places to go dancing.
I’m looking for
  • Guys who like girls
  • Ages 18–24
  • Near me
  • For new friends
You should message me if
A) You want to collaborate on some sort of art/media project. Right now I am looking for a guy who would be interested in dancing with me through some contact improv and lifts as I am spinning poi. I'm also interested in working with people doing stop motion animation, claymation, videos, acting, writing, painting, photography, playing/composing music. or any other such creative pursuits.

B) You want to smoke me up. Big surprise, I'm a stoner.

C) You want to have some sort of intellectual conversations revealing your knowledge of science, history, and philosophy. If you are a nerdfighter or someone who enjoys videogames,
(RPGs, FPS, real-time strategy games, adventure games), or table-top games. If you're someone who is awesome in an incredibly geeky way sometimes.
If you are someone who enjoys this (Jason Silva's TED talk): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KSJGTCW5JbM&feature=related
or this (Jill Bolte Taylor's TED talk:
http://www.ted.com/talks/jill_bolte_taylor_s_powerful_stroke_of_insight.html
I actually got to see Jill Bolte Taylor speak live. One of my brothers even ran up to her in his skirt and moustache after she was done speaking and had stopped taking questions and gave her a hug. Then I hugged him so it's almost like I hugged her.

Note that it might take a while for me to respond to you, as I don't go on here very much. Okcupid says an average of 114 people visit my page every week, a certain percentage of those people message me, , it can add up and be this sea of stuff to sort through.
And I've got a very low probability of answering if you are some random bloke I've never talked to and your entire message is "hi" hey" "hello" "Whats up" "you're pretty" or "how are you?"
