What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Connecting friends, dancing. I do that whole burning man thing, and I built one of them art cars with some friends. It's called The Bleachers, and it's super fun. I play music and make jokes from on top of it, and it requires an inordinate amount of thought and effort throughout the year - but it's worth it. I should note that you don't have to have been, or be super into it. Just would like you to have an open mind and something that you are very passionate about and want to share.

I have a summer partying uniform of a tank top that makes me look like a gay russian weight lifting sailor from 1920 who lifts only oddly shaped weights and ought to have a moustache.

Career wise, I'm a successful businessdude with a job in advertising that provides me the money, time and freedom to read and write and create and party to my heart's content. It's nice, although I always want to make sure that people don't see it as defining. Just a fun game.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Conversatin' and rumpshakin'. Getting shit done. Cooking. Connecting with, energizing, and engaging people. Leading. Intuiting things. Dark irony. Fun.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I don't blink much.. and I'm usually either thoughtfully surveying things or talking or dancing. I mean, that probably covers all the things that most people do. But still.

I actually am 5'10". Apparently dudes on here lie about these things. I have a long history of dating women that are taller than me, so... Uhhh.. Don't be dissuaded. I'm pretty barrel shaped in the chesty region, so I promise I'll pick you up and bounce you around even if you're 6'3.

Oh, and my well turned calves. They're turned well!

This is fucking brilliant:

Favorite books!

- Vampires in the Lemon Grove
- Some Klosterman essays
- Aunt Julia and the Scriptwriter
- wind up girl
- I had to stop reading IQ84 because it was twisting up my sense of reality
The Magic Mountain
One Hundred Years of Solitude
No One Belongs Here More Than You, Neil Gaiman, Dune (although I haven't reread the series in ages), Winter's Tale (although in rereading it it felt kinda hackneyed), The Secret History, Kavalier and Clay, Jonathan Lethem, China Mieville. A large soft spot for fantasy and science fiction. I am among the legion of individuals who have tried to read infinite jest and failed multiple times. I'll get it eventually, I'm sure.

Musically, I'm very into electronic - house, techno, nu disco. Also a healthy dose of indie rock, and generally pretty music.

I like both mainstream and independent moviefilms. Need to go see Boyhood.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Exercise. (unfortunately infrequently paired with mountains)
Human interaction.
Hugs. Seriously. I give fucking great hugs. You can have one if you ask politely or stand and look confused for too long.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Whimsy and silly bullshit and the constant pursuit of giggles and stimulation.

Also, the importance of paradox.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Pushing boundaries?
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
If I like you, I'll rub your ears regularly. It's not sexual or anything, I just can't help myself. I have no idea why I do this, but apparently it's been something I did since I was a baby. You'll begrudgingly or lovingly accept this eventually.

I live in an apartment called Treetops.

I like em smart, sweet, pretty and funny. And I'd add a very to each of those descriptors. Also, you likely love both books and dance.
