My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Bike riding, beer brewing (and drinking), sociable, book reading, music listening, basketball-playing, nerdy... guy.

Oregon born and raised, no intention of leaving the PNW. I was fortunate enough to be born in the place I actually feel I belong.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Working as a Software Engineer in Salem.

Home brewing with my cousin while we plan a business venture.

Biking around parts of the mid valley, wishing for a go pro camera or something while doing it.

When I'm not working/biking/brewing, I'm meeting up with groups for new friends, hanging out with old friends, or just catching up with myself.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Sarcasm and taking as little as possible seriously.
Drumming on the steering wheel until my fingers hurt.
Channeling my inner Calvin.
Brewing beer.
Cooking. I love making up and trying new recipes for both beer and food; rarely does it turn out mediocre or bad.
Biking. It'a great outlet and mind clearing activity, so it'd take the snowpocalypse or something worse to stop me.
Not writing in full paragraphs.
Binge-watching a show once it takes hold of me.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Physically, I'm fairly tall.

Or that I have graying hair, and have since I was 15.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Current music playlist: Nine Inch Nails (by far my all time favorite), Tool, The Heavy, Celldweller, Deadmau5, Die Antwoord, Gojira, The Naked and Famous, The Districts, Jack Ruby Presents, The Blue Stones, Muse, Jack White, Daft Punk, Queens of the Stone Age, Kiesza, Glitch Mob, In Flames, Jimi Hendrix, The Prodigy, Wolfmother, Lamb of God, Mastodon, Bonobo, Was(NotWas), and much more. Whatever fits my mood or passes the time while coding/working in general.

Anything Calvin and Hobbes. I grew up reading those comics, and they're even more meaningful now.

George Martin, Terry McClellan, Brandon Sanderson, Brent Weeks, George Orwell, Chuck Palahniuk, J.R.R. Tolkien, and many more. I'm largely a fantasy book reader, but I'll read anything that interests me. Currently on the Omnivore's Dilemma.

TV shows:
Archer, The Newsroom, House of Cards, South Park, The Daily Show, Walking Dead, Firefly, Game of Thrones, to name a few. Mostly what's on Netflix, but not always.

Fight Club, No Country for Old Men, The Big Lebowski, Pulp Fiction, Super Troopers, Kill Bill, The Goonies (which should be mandatory watching to live in Oregon), just to name a few.

Food: damn near anything with lots of flavor. IPA is by far my favorite beer (with sours and all their intricacies coming in a close second). So far, and I may be SLIGHTLY biased, I haven't found a brewery I like more than Block 15 in the state of Oregon. I challenge you to find me that.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Music, books, social Interaction (I regrettably used to be somewhat of a a recluse), beer, home-cooked food, my bike, comedy, pushing the limits.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
This C&H strip. I often feel like I'm still under the tree with them, waiting for things to make sense.
Future business ventures.
Different meals to make, or beers to brew.
Job applications.
My semi-pending move to Portland

"I’ve had a vision. And what it is, is although this is a world where good men are murdered in their prime, and mediocre hacks thrive and proliferate, I gotta share this with ya, ‘cause I love you and you feel that. You know all the money we spend on nuclear weapons and defense every year? Trillions of dollars? Correct? Trillions. Instead, if we spent that money feeding and clothing the poor of the world, which it would pay for many times over, not one human being excluded, not one, we could, as one race, explore outer space together in peace forever." - Bill Hicks
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Doing whatever strikes my fancy.

In all seriousness, it'll all sound kind of droll: Netflix, a date, drinking with friends, wandering Portland/Corvallis, at one of my favorite bars, playing darts with my cousin at Lucky Lab, or reading a book. Nothing no one else has ever done in the history of ever, oh no.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
"I haven't slept for ten days, because that would be too long."

I will likely use your music list to see if I like any of them, Because I listen to music far more than I typically sleep.

You like to have a great time.

You want a pizza roll (I hope someone gets this reference). Seriously, if you want a pizza roll, leave a comment on this webzone.

You want to go for a bike ride or go hike any of Oregon's awesome parks. There's so many I still haven't been to, despite being an Oregon native. The whole job thing kills longer trips sometimes.

You need a concert buddy. I love live music.

This right here makes you chuckle as you sip your cocoa and watch Netflix.

You think these essays are too long and you got bored, skipping to the end. We all do it, it's okay.

You'd want to try some of my quickly-disappearing session pale ale. It's wonderful.
