Several people have complained about the Rock Star Persona test. Looking it over, I think I've found the biggest problem and have adjusted the scoring. If you were unhappy with it the first time around, give it another try and let me know what you think now.

And to the person who suggested that I rewrite the questions to be about attitudes rather than what people would do - your choices reflect your attitudes. If I were to just flat ask your attitude, the test would be three questions long - Are you humble? Are you excessive? And are you Worldly? Pick one answer for each - Yes, extremely; Yes, moderately; No. Offering situational options gives people a chance to (1) have more fun with the questions, and (2) show some variation in their answers, which in turn gives us a better idea of the extent of each of the traits in their personality.

BTW - Like many people the first time I took it I was Tom Petty. This time through, I scored Tom Waits.

Somewhere, something's odd. Maybe I put a few questions where my answers I wanted didn't match up with my own answers - but there's no WTF report for myself. I just wonder what I didn to make myself 4% less friendly to myself.

While I ponder this conundrum, I just want to say "Thank You" to everybody who has taken the Rock Star Persona test. When I went to work on that, I figured it'd just get a couple of hits from my friends and sink into OKCupid obscurity. Instead, I find that it's been featured on OKCupid recommends! I think that rocks, and I think you all rock for helping to put it there. Now I just hope my next test can live up to the hype.

Finally, I would like to announce that I am once again returning to writing for the stage. I am currently working on a project for next year's Halloween show being planned by a local professional theater. My play will be one of four plays run during the event, and I'm very excited.
