My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Ok, cupid, time update this profile finally.

My name is Alex, I am a scientist, writer, game designer and data cross-referencer to varying degrees. I have a craving for information about human beings and love to talk to new people who are both intelligent and have a quirky, cool or wicked sense of humour.

I enjoy travelling and have seen a fair amount of southern Europe. I also loved Japan and want to go back there soon. Next on my list though is the good old USA, though looking at the size of the place I may have to take a few different trips.

I am told I am considerate and a great source of advice and understanding. I rarely lose my temper at anything non-computer game related and then not for long.

I like dogs but the building I live in doesn't let me have them. I am undecided about cats.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I am an office worker by day but am also starting my own business making (non-computer) games I helped to design myself.

I enjoy writing Fantasy books, which I hope to one day have a go at publishing. Just as soon as they are ready. Soon... soon...

My hobbies mostly involve movies, computer games and walking about. I like visiting art galleries, museums and land marks. Both in fiction and in real life I am on a continuous search for thing I've never seen or thought of before.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Talking. I'm often a bit slow to start, but once I get going I'm told I'm quite fun to listen to. I'm not sure though, I tend to tune in and out.

Did those people just say I'm entertaining because I always ask them whilst stroking a gun? Not sure. Next question.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Not really sure. I'm quite tall? Hmm, maybe.

My hair is often a mess. That might be it. Always in photographs, at least.

Just something I want to ask. Do you have the problem I have getting self photos for sites like this. I ask people to take pictures of me and then they keep them?

...

I hope it's just my friends being forgetful and they are not building shrines around pictures of me.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
My favourite books are all Fantasy books. I've read all the Discworld books. Read all the works of Patrick Rothfuss (I highly recommend). Neil Gaimens cool, especially the short stories. I am currently reading Isaac Asimov. Trying to catch up ion my clasics.

I have a love for anime. Recently Attack on Titan has been a pleasant surprise. I think One Piece is fantastic and one of the most intricate stories every written by anyone. I also enjoy: Evangelion, Madoka, The Girl Who Leapt though time. All Studio Gibli films. Toradora, Hunter x Hunter, Death Note, Bakemonogatari and many more.

My favourite live action film is difficult. When pushed I usually say V for Vendetta. Or Dark City. Or several Disney movies. Or Stardust. Or Terminator 2. Or Return of the Jedi. I have quite a few.

My least favourite movie though, is Transformers 2. I'm quite certain on that.

For music... I like anything with good words I can hum, sing, or scream along to. I go to rock clubs sometimes mostly for the shouting rather than the dancing. Don't mind the genre as long as it isn't just noise.

And food? I make a curry/Bolognese that experts tell me shouldn't be called either. Screw them though. It is delicious. The secret ingredient is love (and mango chutney).
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Stories.
People.
Lists of things people could never do without that include things like oxygen.
My Laptop
Laughter
World Domination Plans.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Things that don't exist.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Going to the cinema, or theatre. Playing games with friends. Writing about worlds where dragons exist.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Sometimes I give money to people in the street who ask me for it. I do this with the full knowledge that I might be being conned. But as far as I'm concerned, as long as I, myself am doing the kind thing, what else matters?

I try to live my life abiding by the elements of harmony.

You don't mind geeky people. I mean, I don't think I'm annoying or obsessive or any of those other silly negative stereotypes. Just letting you know.
