Hi! I'm a professional, responsible, fun-loving gal from Cincinnati looking for a high caliber man. If I were to put together the soundtrack to the movie of my life, I know it would start with my theme song--If It Makes You Happy, it can't be that bad! That means I'm always up for something new, and I live with no regrets, just memories made. I have peppered different sections of my profile with random song lyrics, so if you know the artist or title of any of the songs, you should definitely message me!
What I’m doing with my life
I am the System Administrator for an advertising software system at a Publishing/Media company. But really, I don't wanna work, I just want to bang on the drum all day!
One of my biggest passions is singing, and currently I sing in a community choir. We're a non-profit organization and I'm on the board, plus I'm on the creative committee, so I get to help plan our concerts/shows. I used to sing in a Bossa Nova band, but sadly that kind of fizzled out.
On the weekends, I like to golf, go bowling, dance, and drink on patios.
I’m really good at
knowing all the lyrics to random 80's songs (so many wasted brain
cells) and COOKING. I am also good at reading people, not only
their personality, but also their mood.
The first things people usually notice about me
My naturally curly hair and that I'm always smiling or laughing!
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
BOOKS: I'm in a book club with some amazing girl friends but it usually turns into wine club and we just laugh so much we realize we only talked about the book for about 10 minutes! We always pick something interesting but personally, I like mysteries, crime stories, and of course some chick lit---but I've never read Twilight or Harry Potter. My favorite books as a kid were Encyclopedia Brown (so I feel like a detective in all situations still) and the Choose-Your-Own-Adventure books. I feel like my life is one of those books now, so meet me at the crossroads and you won't be lonely.
MOVIES: I have seen almost all of the Oscar nominated films for the past 10 years, except for some of the sci-fi/fantasy stuff. I'm trying to see all of the classics that I never saw when I was younger. I love going to the Esquire to see independent and foreign films!
SHOWS: Dexter, True Blood, Empire, Modern Family, Scandal, Doc Martin, Downton Abbey, or anything on BBC really. And as a girl, Sex and the City was the BEST show ever (but even I could have done without the movies)!
MUSIC: I was a radio DJ so I love/appreciate all music, even some country but it's my least fave. I especially love female vocalists/rockers that I could play on my radio show. Let's see...a few faves...Pat Benatar, Indigo Girls, Lita Ford, Janet Jackson, Tori Amos, Kelly Clarkson, Pink, and Idina Menzel. But I like male artists too! Jimmy Eat World, Walk the Moon, Coldplay, Black Keys, Neon Trees, Airborne Toxic Event, Mumford & Sons, and Pitbull. I also like DJ's like Afrojack, Calvin Harris, David Guetta, and Deadmau5. I love going to concerts and festivals--I've had 3-day passes to Bunbury every year so far.
FOOD: I try to stay away from any processed food, but I like all types of food and trying new restaurants. I love sushi, Thai, Indian, really it would be easier to say what I don't like--green peppers (but I like all other colors), beets (taste like dirt), and pickled ginger (tastes like soap). I LOVE to cook but if I'm not going to cook it then I'll order it from Zanzibar!
The six things I could never do without
My cell phone, Spotify, hair gel, lip gloss, ranch dressing, and my
I spend a lot of time thinking about
putting positive vibes out into the world so that positive things will come back to me.
Recently I've been thinking about the next property I'm going to buy--should it be another 2-family or go bigger???
I also spend a lot of time wondering if the Buckeyes are going to the National Championship game again this year...oh, wait...I don't really wonder about that, it's pretty much in the bag! Go Bucks!
On a typical Friday night I am
meeting friends for Happy Hour, then maybe checking out some new restaurant downtown, and then maybe hitting up a bar to see a live band.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I just started wearing a new deodorant scent and every time I
happen to get a whiff of it, it makes me want a pina colada! So, if
you like pina coladas and you know the REAL name of that song--stop
reading and message me now!
You should message me if
you're not just looking to help me put another notch in my lipstick case. Or if you want to be a power couple!
