My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Dude, why are online profiles so weird? Why does it always feel awful writing them and then looking at other people's? Why do all the women on this site have nose rings? Why do *I* have a nose ring?! Did I get a nose ring years ago through some weird fate-based universal law which proved that I would one day be cruising online for another human to relate to my wish that they sold Oreo filling in, like, a tube? I wouldn't doubt it.

Anyway, I'm barely on this site anymore, but you're welcome to leave a message if you're truly intrigued by my spastic profile.

Theatre worker, lover and fighter, self-proclaimed walking contradiction. Enjoys claw foot tubs, power tools, scented things, fuzzy things, independent things (e.g. movies, businesses, people). Rants when angry, giggles when pleased and bakes when thoughtful.

I'm pretty open minded and consider myself very outgoing. I'm a definite people person and love being spontaneous. Y'know, all those exciting words that women use to describe themselves. Even though I tend to like being out and about, I also like my down time. I'm a huge fan of cuddling and enjoy curling up with a movie or a good book.

I'm part hippie, part wanna-be-bad-bitch with a desire to love you and hate you at the same time.

ENTJ, for anyone who's counting.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm hoping to work in theatre for as long as my mind can possibly stand it. I do just about everything: lights and sound, costumes and props, set design and acting. In the last year, however, I have predominantly been stage and production managing. Otherwise, I'm just attempting to dance, adventure and swashbuckle my way through life. I have many goals for myself and make new ones every day.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Organizing. Keeping projects on task. Giving hugs. Reading people. Comforting other humans. Witty banter. Laughing at things. I know what I like to do and I'd like to think I'm good at those things. I like to challenge myself and find my inner balance among the strange and new.

Oh, and sending awkward messages on OkCupid. I know I'm good at that.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I haven't the slightest idea. You tell me.

No really, tell me. I'm fascinated.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: The last book I read was Tina Fey's "Bossypants", it was obviously incredible. "Le Petit Prince" (The Little Prince) is adorable and resonates deeply with me. Anything by David Sedaris. My favorite author is Truman Capote.

Movies: Generally indie, off the cuff or comedy movies, though I watch pretty much everything. The Royal Tennenbaums and 50/50 are two of my favorite movies. I've seen Pretty Woman more times than I can count. Recent favorite? Drinking Buddies.

Shows: I don't watch a lot of new TV but I'm a sucker for reruns of 80's and 90's shows. More modern shows I watch on repeat: 30 Rock, Parks and Recreation, Arrested Development, Community, Bob's Burgers. Favorite reruns include Boy Meets World, The Cosby Show and Golden Girls. I'll admit I'm a Blanche. I may or may not be the only person who keeps up with Saturday Night Live these days. I recently absorbed all of HBO's GIRLS and loved all of it, and just the other day I acquired the first season of Growing Pains on DVD from Easy Street. Just sayin'.

Music: Say Anything. That's all. Max Bemis forever.

Also, Childish Gambino, Frank Ocean, Puriry Ring, any and all R&B from the '90s and anything that Ben Gibbard has ever touched.

Food is yummy. I don't really have preferences. I was raised by a New York Jew, so cooking is engrained in me. I love Thai food and sushi and have a massive sweet tooth.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. My bed.
2. A pen.
3. Music.
4. A witty comeback.
5. Artistic endeavors.
6. A sense of humor.
7. Tits.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Work. Cheesecake. Dancing. Lunar cycles. Nature vs. nurture. Work. Existential bullshit. Carpentry. Starting over. Burritos. Phad thai. Pho. What is sleep? Work.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Hanging out with friends or finding things to do with friends. Generally I am working on a show, seeing a show or out finding a fun place to be.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
This is not a joke. My biggest fear is dinosaurs.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You like going for strolls.
You know of any cute coffee places.
You have a VHS collection.
You feel like talking.
I promise I won't bite unless you want me to.

Hint: If you want a response, don't tell me I'm hot for a fat chick or call me hun, baby or sweetheart. And don't say all of these in an attempt to get somewhere with your wit.

It's called tact, everybody.
