My self-summary
Me chiamo Ileana, io sono un po infantile, molto romantica e mi piace la semplicità e la buona gente.

I'm shy and weird but very friendly. I'm extremely adventurous. I am forever in love with nature and the Moon. I love the ocean (actually, love water in general...pools too, I love swimming). I love science. I love the universe. I'm currently a Psychology/Criminal Justice student (I'm working to be a Substance Abuse Counselor {Master in Health Sciences} and hopefully work with homeless addicts, I already volunteer when I can.

I like dancing even though I'm not very good at it.
I'm a hopeless romantic.

I'm nocturnal. I'm a tomboy.

I have a liking for firearms, the bigger the better (that's not a metaphor for something else), and love blowing things up and making noise when possible (New Year's is usually when I let loose with this).
I'm an autodidact and have been a bibliophile ever since I can remember.
I love to laugh hysterically.
I can be very girly sometimes and other times I can completely be one of the guys. I don't mind getting dirty, playing football in the mud, getting physically hurt, breaking a nail (lol)...I like to have fun and being a lady should never get in the way of that. "You cannot banish joy for that is the road to madness."
I don't give a rat's ass about what people I don't know/love think about me.

I am attracted to all things dark, macabre and mysterious, and anything odd and considered 'abnormal' or preternatural fascinates me. I like the 'supernatural'.
I gravitate towards outsiders (because I am one), misfits and the socially marginalized and excluded. I'm the kind of person that will sit down with the homeless and talk to them, I can't and will not ignore them. Contrary to popular belief, the average junkie on the street is not a menace to society. I've met some that I believe were brilliant and others that were extremely kind (but of course, there are seriously dangerous people out there too, but the panhandler down the corner is probably not one of them so treat them kindly, they're human and you never know...you could end up homeless one day too).

I'm very bad-mouthed but I know when and where to be serious and 'sophisticated' or just quiet.

I can't stand injustice and abuse.
I'm all for social justice and am very interested in something called Socially Engaged Buddhism.
I love meditating and doing yoga.

*I HAVE THE BAD HABIT OF GOING ONLINE AND LEAVING WINDOWS OPEN WITHOUT LOGGING OUT ALL THE TIME so if you message me and I don't answer even if it says I'm online, don't despair. I'm probably not online but will be eventually and I'll get back to you.
What I’m doing with my life
Not much, traveling and studying mostly. Really, just doing whatever I want.
I’m really good at
Analyzing things and listening to people, apparently. I always have complete strangers coming over to me and literally pouring their hearts out for no reason at all...I guess I inspire trust. This is great for me because I make friends easily like that, usually without saying a word, and I get to hear all kinds of crazy and amazing shit you wouldn't find in the best books.
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm genuinely interested in them? Overly nice?
My tattoos? My hats?

I love me some Monte Cristo's and some good ol' RYO Bali Shag and organic American Spirit.
The six things I could never do without
Love.
Oxygen.
People.
Music.
Books.
Cigarettes.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The world, life, death, spirituality, kindness; human behaviour and the real meaning of altruism (which I believe exists). Also how much I would love to be able to adopt a child someday...
On a typical Friday night I am
It varies. I could be watching a movie at home or at a theater...or enjoying a stimulating conversation over some wine or a few beers with a close one or a complete stranger.

I can enjoy an expensive wine and a good meal, but I'm just as happy (in many cases, much more happy) sitting somewhere with a pretzel or taking a walk while enjoying some good conversation. I'm not impressed by money, quite the contrary. Simplicity is often much more beautiful.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I can be quite a complicated little lady....I'm not in the least conventional and I had a very libertine and odd upbringing (hippie parents) so I turned into a weird lady (I don't mean this negatively). I'm usually a mix of femininity with tomboy-ish and male attitudes. I'm just a mix of class, sophistication and education with ghetto and street-wise attitudes, it probably won't make sense but that's what happens when poor people get an education and get out of the ghetto...and when girls grow up around boys.
I’m looking for
  • Guys who like girls
  • Ages 22–40
  • Located anywhere
  • Who are single
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating, activity partners, long-distance penpals
You should message me if
If the overly redundant nonsense I've written here makes sense to you. If you'd like to discuss wine and beer; poetry, philosophy, literature and hedonism...or if you have overall similar interests (and if you have a beard too).
