My self-summary
I love chocolate, stargazing, art, jazz, mystery, photography, poetry, theatre, lipgloss, cinema, and coffee. In the words of Joan Crawford, "I have always known what I wanted, and that was every form." I want someone who can have fun but can also be poised and polite when needed. He needs to want to listen to my issues and comfort me but also smack me upside my head (figuratively, of course) if I need it. He has to love music. Not like, not enjoy, but love it with so much of himself it hurts. Last but certainly not least, I need someone who shares in my love of the Lord. "And the ones that can know you so well are the ones that can swallow you whole."

I am punctual, eclectic, and saucy
What I’m doing with my life
I'm currently studying psychology and hope to go on to graduate school for art therapy. I also hope to travel the world. (But the funding for that may take a while) "We're on the top of the world, you and I. We've got a lot of time, it sure feels right. Cause you reached in your pocket and pulled out a pass that says you can take me anywhere."
I’m really good at
Cat's Cradle, typing, making funny faces, crocheting, making coffee, sitting in the lotus position, giving backrubs (not meant to be sensual, I just have strong fingers)
The first things people usually notice about me
That I'm quiet. The thing is that I'm really not quiet, I just like to watch and take in my surroundings. They probably also notice my height, I'm quite a tall lady. "Squint your eyes and look closer, I am not in between you and your ambition. I am a poster girl with no poster. I am 32 flavors and then some. I'm beyond your peripheral vision, so you might want to turn your head."
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
(a) The Little Prince, The Action Heroine's Handbook, A Series of Unfortunate Events; (b) Strictly Ballroom, Amelie, Big Fish, Finding Nemo, Nightmare Before Christmas, Moulin Rouge; (c) The Rachel's, Harry Connick Jr., Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong, Sarah Vaughan, Ani Difranco, Tori Amos, Dar Williams, Patty Griffin; (d) most Thai food, chocolate, coffee, ice cream, wood-fired pizza, olive oil, pasta, cheesecake "Hold on to nothing as fast as you can, well, still, pretty good year."
The six things I could never do without
music/art, cigarettes, chocolate, coffee, a piano, and God "Now a man is born to go a lovin', a woman's born to weep and fret, to stay at home and tend her oven and drown her past regrets in coffee and cigarettes."
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Tim Burton...wouldn't you know what it's like inside his head? "Excuse me but can I be you for a while?"
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
My name is actually Beth. My username is taken from my favorite movie (Le Fableaux Destin de Amelie Poulain). If you haven't seen it, then go rent it, Amelie really is my movie mirror. Oh, and I have a xanga under the name of awesomer. "I am on a lonely road and I am traveling. Looking for something what can it be?"
