Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Laid back, quiet, easy-going, giant, short story writing, nerdy,
music loving, wildly leftist, humanist, transhumanist, feminist,
queer, likes scifi novels which try to extrapolate the future in
interesting relevant ways, likes cooking and food, likes pets,
likes walking, watches too much tv sometimes, enjoys sarcasm, dark
humour, meaningless flirting, recently returned to
Not super ambitious (I'd rather be comfortable and happy than
stressed and rich), but don't let that stop you, it's just not for
me, and I don't have a problem with it in others.
Looking mostly for friends at the moment. My old community have all
moved away, so now that I'm back I want to build a new one for
myself. Obviously don't let that stop you from hitting on me,
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Right now I'm settling back in to life in Fredericton, and working
on my writing. I left school with a build up of student loans and a
useless degree, and no money. Right now my plan is to find a job
back home (here in Fredericton) and work for a while, until I can
flee back to civilization. Hopefully in a kitchen, because I love
to cook and wouldn't mind doing it all day.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Cooking. I can make some kick-ass food.
Music. I did 14 years of piano. I could play Rachmaninoff and
Chopin unadapted. I'm out of practice 3 years now, however.
Listening. You have no idea. You've never even been listened to
before. Just wait.
Writing. Eh, I'm alright. But I'm getting better. Practice practice
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I like science fiction, and fantasy, for the most part. Books which
make me think about the future, all the way to books about space
navies and scary aliens. A special fondness is reserved for the
cyberpunk genre, especially William Gibson (one of my bigger
writing inspirations), anything noir-ish (bit of a guilty pleasure
sometimes;the genre can get pulp-y), everything written by Terry
Pratchett always and forever. Lately I've been really into Brandon
Sanderson. His world-building is peerless imo.
I like weird fucked up surreal movies, when I want to give my brain
a workout. My favourite is Aguirre, the Wrath of God. I like action
movies sometimes, when I want to turn my brain off. My favourite of
those is Pitch Black. I like martial arts movies of any kind. My
latest favourite there is Iko Uwais, an Indonesian martial artist
who starred in The Raid, The Raid 2, and Merentau. I like lots of
other movies too. Especially anything with RDJ, Sean Bean, or Peter
Dinklage. I put movies on in the evening while I write, so I kinda
just play Netflix roulette sometimes.
My favourite tv show at the moment is Agents of Shield, I
I play a lot of video games, too. My favourite is the Mass Effect
series. Right now I'm working on DA Inquisition and Dark Souls 2.
I'll also happily dork out over Assassin's Creed, but I have
stopped buying them new, and I'm kinda hoping they move somewhere
non-Europe/NA for the next one. Probably not even buying
I'm not going to get into music or food, because my tastes in both
are pretty widely ecclectic. Let's see... I don't much like pop
music and I think Mozart's a hack, and I won't eat at Harveys and
have an irrational hatred of mushrooms. Other than that I'm game
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.

what I'm doing at that moment.
non-sarcastic answer: probably a story that I'm working on. Or a
friend I miss. Or something in the future I'm either looking
forward to or dreading.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Netflix, 420, unless I have plans to go out. Which happens maybe
once a month since I've been home.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
That I'm willing to admit? Hmmmm. Say what you will about how it
makes me look, sometimes the lyrics to Radiohead's "Creep" really
resonate with me. Embarrassing, eh? Oh well. You asked.
Anything else, you'll have to ask. Sorry! But I'm like 99% likely
to answer. I come here for conversation mostly. I'm bored and
lonely, fire away.

you want to. I love talking to people, I'm a social person at
heart, but I'm pretty shy myself when it comes to initial contact.
Please do, honestly! I just moved back to Fredericton and don't
really know anyone here anymore, so I want to find a new community
of like-minded folks to spend time with.
