My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I am endlessly fascinated, a bit of a geek, and easily amused.

I'm Babet and I have a zombie survival plan. Do you have one? Didn't think so.

I need to get a crowbar, though. My budget doesn't really allow for one.

OK, that was a lie. I just didn't get one yet. I am fucked if the Zombie apocalypse hits tomorrow and I was just too lazy to get a damn crowbar.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm not doing anything. I don't make plans (except the necessary
ones! See Above.) and I don't keep an agenda. I usually don't look ahead further than a week at a time, and even then the timetables of my lectures are a complete surprise to me.

Sure I'm studying Behavioural and Neurosciences (Jeez, that sounds fancy) because it's fascinating and I'd like to have a job further along the road in that general interest area, but the fact of the matter is I think I'm studying because it was the obvious thing to do after high school.

I hate having things planned out for me weeks in advance. I'm content with taking everything literally a day at a time. Although I get unhappy when I have to get up at 8 in the morning, I'm a night person.

One thing I've learned is that any possible plan you can have for
yourself will be turned upside down. Everything turns out
differently from anything you expected anyway.

If life is insistent on rolling over you like a slow, determined
yet sneaky glacier, then just let it. You can't stop a damn

Let alone ninja ones.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Imagining things. I'm a creative person at heart. I wouldn't say I'm -good- at drawing or writing or photography or playing the guitar or piano or any of the other 50 hobbies I have. But I'd be a very unhappy girl if I couldn't do any of them. I get fascinated easily by something, but I lose interest easily as well. This means that every week I want to learn a new skill, whether this be juggling or solving a rubicks cube or playing a song on the piano or cross-stitching.

This also means I have a vast array of (semi) useless skills.

There are just too many fun things to do out there and too little time to learn all of them or just learn all of them well.

The things I stick with most are drawing, writing, photography and making music though.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm happy. And a bit of a geek.

I don't do the whole 'depressed' thing. Sure I might get sad some times, usually for no reason at all while lying in bed and thinking about life in general. But I can never be down for too long time. Sitting there and moping about something isn't solving much and it's just wasting time, I guess. I'd probably get bored and see if there's anything fun to do.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: Discworld is my true love.

As for movies, that's a hard one. I watch movies religiously. It's hard to compare genres. But if I have to name, say three, to spare you the boredom of sifting through an endless list of movies; Magnolia, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless mind, Lost in Translation.

TV shows: Dr Who, Lost, House, Scrubs, Flashpoint, Horizon, Castle, Bones, How I met your Mother, The Walking Dead, Person of Interest

Instead of naming all the music that I love, here's a link to my page :)

Food:I like almost anything, except, maybe, mussels and eggplants.

Also, I'm quite a geek. I get obsessed with things. I mean unreasonably obsessed. My current obsession is with Batman villains after I played Arkham Asylum, to give you a general idea of how ridiculous my obsessions tend to be.
Past obsessions have included Star trek, LotR, Half-life 2, l4d2 and a ton of other things.

Games Half-life 2, L4D(2), Portal(2), Halo, timesplitters, Elder scrolls, Discworld MUD, Serious Sam, Splinter Cell, Batman: Arkham Asylum, minecraft, and tons of others.

Also, webcomics are an important daily diet of any geek! I used to read dozens, but apparently that took up too much of my time so I have recently cut down considerably. I now only read xkcd and questionable content daily. All the others I sometimes randomly check out.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Let's be materialistic about this, since no one can live without love, hope, joy etcetera.

-Music, or my ipod at least.
-The Internet
-Ample time to spend on my creative outbursts
-Movies. Movies are awesome. I watch a lot of them alone, because other people will just talk through them.
-Games (Valve, how I love thee, let me count the ways.)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Well, everybody thinks about life and decisions and future plans and what not.

Ignoring those things, I spend a lot of time thinking about stories. Random imaginary movie scenes and story plot lines. Sometimes I write them down, usually I don't. I get inspiration for these from the oddest places and on the least opportune moments. I just drift off in my thoughts.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
At home behind my desk, with spotify on volume 20 and surfing the web, drawing things in my sketchbook, writing a story, playing my guitar/ukelele/keyboard, killing zombies in L4D, reading a book, suddenly deciding I need to learn how to contact juggle, playing drums on guitar hero, dancing like an idiot, solving rubic's cubes, singing along with my favourite song, minecraft, catching up with my favourite tv shows, having silly conversations with friends or watching a movie.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit

I prefer The Beatles over the Rolling Stones :o

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You're a funny, crazy, interesting person who just wants to talk to another crazy person about similar interests. We can geek out over things together.

DON'T MESSAGE ME IF: you're homophobic, or sexist.
I'm pro abortion, euthanasia, gay marriage, etc etc etc. If these things bother you, or your opinion differs significantly on these important social issues, messaging me probably won't result in a reply...
