My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Excellent. Here's where I explain who I am in sound bites that are easy to read and entertaining but still fully express my personality. No problem!

So my favorite color is lime green and my favorite ice cream flavor is B&J's chubby hubby (NOT the annoyingly similarly named chunky monkey). My favorite cloud type is cumulonimbus, favorite diacritic mark is the umlaut and favorite meal is brunch. What more do you need to know?

*Update: my favorite color is now chartreuse. Lime green can suck it.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I moved to NYC 3 years ago from New Orleans. Before that spent a year backpacking in Central America. Grew up in Florida. Parents are from India but to their chagrin I ended up totally Americanized.

I'm a scientist. Typing that made me smile. My work is important but not everything. I really enjoy being active- especially yoga or capoeira and I spend as much time as I can designing and making my own clothes.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
• starting new projects
• being there for a friend
• cooking
• massages
• underwatering the basil and then overwatering to compensate, thus ensuring it dies a slow and painful death

I'm sort of bad at but still enjoy
• capoeira
• making stuff
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Probably my dimple if I'm smiling.

I've recently become addicted to the On Being podcast because it's so inspiring. The John Lewis one is my favorite. The Bugle podcast is also great.

Books - too many! Ones that come to mind at the moment are: Hero with a Thousand Faces, The Cheese Monkeys, The Outsider, Man for Himself, Middlesex, The Meaning and Importance of Fairy Tales, anything Wodehouse

Movies - Life Aquatic, Death at a Funeral, Scent of Green Papaya, American Pimp, Big Lebowski (I once saw someone dressed as the Dude for Mardi Gras. It was the easiest costume ever. He just wandered around in ratty bathrobe and slippers, drinking a caucasian and saying stuff like "the Dude abides.")

Shows - The Smurfs. Except for the one where we find out that La Schtroumpfette started out as a fake evil smurf. How sad!

Music - Magnetic Fields, Mana, Zydepunks, Red Stick Ramblers, The National

Food - I'll try anything once. I'm on a quest for the best noodles in Chinatown. So far, Xian's famous foods is the hands-down winner.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit

When I get in trouble it's usually because I said exactly what I think when I should've kept a lid on it.
