My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Things you might need to know about me, or rather might be interested to know about me:
-I don't like cheese. I don't mind pizza, but only from pizzerias, and even then some pizza can have more cheese than I can appreciate.
-I majored in literature, but I'm terribly ill-read [It's not that I don't enjoy reading, its just must easier, in my down-time, to watch a movie, as I have so much assigned reading for school] [Not that I am not in school and reading as much, I have found myself falling back in love with it.]
-I don't do small-talk. I jump right into getting to know people or the heart of whatever matter might be on my mind.
-Stars give me a sense of peace and tranquility like almost nothing else I know
-I love being in or near bodies of water. I don't know why, but I have noticed the trend. I suspect there is also a sense of tranquility around the water, that it can be peaceful but also full of activity and unknown treasures and who knows what else?!
-I talk to myself and inanimate objects on a regular basis. [Sometimes I greet flowers, or apologize for bumping into tables, or chide myself for making a mistake]
-I think those daisies that you find growing all over the place that are apparently weeds are the prettiest flowers
-I still pick up dandelions and blow all the seeds off of them when I see them and I still try to get honey from honeysuckles
-I enjoy Disney movies because they have happy endings.
-Love is my religion.
-I cannot wait to be a mommy. As much pain as I've seen my own mother endure, and other mothers, I still look forward to the day I have my own children.
-I truly believe that love is all we need.
-I don't really like the taste of alcohol
-If it were socially acceptable, I would wear my pajamas everywhere, all the time.
-I am EXTRAORDINARILY sarcastic.

***Update (5/6/14) I was going to re-write this, but it appears this is still incredibly accurate***
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Just entered into my career as a high school English teacher. So far, I have taught 9th and 10th graders.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I would like to think that I am pretty good at reading people. I am certainly a very loyal friend and would do just about anything if someone, anyone, needs me.

Also really good at sarcasm.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I suspect people often hear me before they see me, hopefully they noticed a relatively intelligent, humorous, allbeit loud, girl.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

As a literature major and English teacher, I am surprisingly ill-read.
-I only recently read the Harry Potter books and loved those.
-The Shack by William Young and just though it did a wonderful job of portraying what an encounter with God might be like. -Most things by Ellen Hopkins, a young adult author who writes her novels in free verse poetry.
-Fault in our Stars by John Green
-The Book Thief by Markus Zusak
-Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen
-The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini
-I, Tituba, Black Witch of Salem by Maryse Conde
-The Thirteenth Tale by Diane Setterfeild

I love watching movies. But I love watching the same 20 movies that I know I love. I tend to stick to animated movies because they have happy endings. Romantic comedies are unrealistic. Action films are just a series of explosions and passion. Horror movies are just things jumping out at you and death. I enjoy comedy, but smart comedy: Mel Brooks comedy, British humor comedy. Not some of the stupid, boy humor, crude humor comedy. I literally could not finish watching Step Brothers or Pineapple Express.
-All Disney Movies
-All Pixar Movies
-Most Dreamworks Movies
-Musicals (Chicago, Rent, Grease, Annie, etc)
-Neverending Story
-Classic 80s and 90s films (Breakfast Club, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 1,2, and 3, Goonies)
-Harry Potter Movies
-The Other Guys
-Hot Fuzz
-Horton Hears a Who

I try to keep up with Saturday Night Live because it keeps me slightly update on current events, although recently its been unimpressive. I love Psych and if I ever get a Netflix account I will be watching a lot of that. And then I love the typical crime shows although I dislike some of the spin-offs.
-CSI (Las Vegas)
-Criminal Minds
-Law and Order: SVU
-Brooklyn 99
-Stand-up via Comedy Central

I hate this question, my favorite kind of music, mostly because I don't know how to answer it. I enjoy Mumford and Sons and the artists that show up on my Mumford and Sons Pandora Playlist. Mellow-ish? I don't know. I enjoy Regina Spektor and Adele. I enjoy oldies. I enjoy listening to whatever is on the radio. I'm not too picky. I think I just don't like anything too extreme. Pure screaming is probably not for me. Certain rapping that uses a whole lot of negative language to not say that much is also probably not for me. Country music that has so much twang I cannot understand it, probably not for me.

Food. I always feel like I'm pretty easy and I'll eat everything, but apparently that is not quite true. I love all the things that are bad for you. And I prefer vegetables raw, rather than cooked and squishy (a texture thing, I guess). And I don't like cheese. Or mushrooms. Or just straight onions. Or celery. So that's it really. Love all meats and fishes. LOVE sweet potatoes. I'm pretty sure I could sufficiently survive off of little else than sweet potatoes...and maybe peanut butter...and bananas. I enjoy spinach salads with craisins and almonds/walnuts. I guess I'm just not all that adventurous when it comes to food.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. Education
2. Love
3. Hope
4. Animals
5. Faith
6. (Unfortunately) Internet
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
everything and everyone. I tend to create hypothetically questions to answer. Somedays I have conversations with myself. Most nights I struggle to turn my brain off.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Probably here. I'm a homebody. Not much of a go-out-and-party-person.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I recently deleted my OkCupid account, but decided that for right now, this is probably my best bet at meeting people.
