My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
California native who grew up in a very tiny town on 20-acres. At home in the Bay, now trying out D.C.

Storyteller. Not great at commas. I probably get too excited about how interconnected everything is and the inextricable power of narratives.

I'm fairly low-key. I love a good book, good people, a good beer. I'm not a dramatic person, but I love to be surprised. I also really like kind, genuinely nice people who give a shit about the world. Emphasis on that last part.

Let's go to the zoo.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Looking to soak up as much knowledge as I can. Planning trips to foreign countries and finding bagel shops that will change my life.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Baking and listening. Grocery shopping?
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Books:
I love Harry Potter! And honestly, I'll read just about anything.

Movies:
I'm also a big movie fan, although growing up with intermittent cable means I've missed a lot of the classics. Juno, Walk the Line, Silver Linings Playbook, Knocked Up, Pride and Prejudice, Twister, Spy Game (weirdly my favorite movie of all time. Spys!), Across the Universe, Children of Men.

Shows:
Watch all the TV and only feel slightly guilty about it.

Podcasts:
This American Life, 99% Invisible, Radiolab. J-School has allowed me to Q&A with both Ira Glass and Robert Krulwich. Life is good.

Music:
Like all good things it changes over time, but right now I'm digging The Gaslight Anthem, Metric, Bad Books, Manchester Orchestra, Andrew Bird, Thursday, The Head and The Heart, Dr Dog.

Food:
For better of worse I love food. All of it; it's amazing. Except sardines, no sardines.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Climate change?
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
The fact that I feel like I'm shopping for someone on here freaks me out.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You've got something interesting to tell me and you won't be disappointed once you realize I cannot sing to save my life.

Also, if you have your life all wrapped up in a nice little package that's lovely, good for you! I...don't. And at this point in my life I don't want it all wrapped up. If you're looking for 100 percent together I'm not your girl. If you're open to being around while I get it together I'd love to have you.

Also I could just use a couple of new friends, so if you're looking for one of those too feel free!
