My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I have avoided this box for way too long, so here goes. I was born and raised in Austin, Texas. I am an animal lover. I am a creative individual: designer, tinkerer, maker. I take my work very seriously, but I love to laugh and crack dumb and (only very occasionally) witty jokes. I am perfectly happy being introverted at times, though I warm up to others quickly and always love to be in good company! I am a nice, genuine guy who is looking to share some good times with others.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I am most currently an Industrial Design graduate student here in Brooklyn. So, doing graduate school stuff mostly. Working on getting my butt out of the studio every once in a while. Taking adventures where I can get them.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I love to work with my hands so stuff in that arena. I've done some carpentry, cabinetry, furniture making, sculpture, metalsmithing, I was a bike mechanic at one point, I've restored an old car. I'm not very good at guitar but I love to play anyways.
The first things people usually notice about me

Food: I like spicy things. Mexican food is the best thing ever, though I am growing fond of Thai. Mustard is far and away my favorite condiment. Not a seafood person (sorry, giant sea bugs are awesome to look at but gross to eat).
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Creative expression
Podcasts such as This American Life, Radio Lab, Selected Shorts (looking for more)
The music of David Bowie
Probably some other stuff
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
All the things I want to experience in the world. About the history of places and things. About all the knowledge that's out there for the taking and all the knowledge that has been lost. About what makes someone smart and what makes someone wise. About whether or not I should get a new pet Guinea Pig. Or maybe a hedge hog. And many random daydreams...
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Who on earth knows? Probably in the studio, out at a bar with some amigos, or watching bootleg subway movies with my roommates.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
While kayaking, I like to shoot turtles with squirt guns.
