My friends rely on me for fashion advice, and I rely on them for witty repartee. They will tell you I am generous and kind and come to every party with a serious question to discuss (in other circles, this would be considered a “buzz kill.”)
I am, at times, skeptical, but seldom cynical. I am too much the problem-solver to be cynical, and too compelled by issues of social justice. I laugh easily and genuinely, and the glass is usually half-full. That said, my biography would probably be titled, “A Cautionary Tale” – full of what NOT to do. Sample Chapters: “Don’t travel in regions of China off-limits to foreigners,” “Don’t marry a divorce lawyer,” “Don’t try to strip paint from a 100 year old house – at least not by yourself,” …
I know my limitations – I’m not fond of them, but we are well-acquainted.
I am looking for someone who will expand my world, laugh with me, and grow with me – someone who is passionate about his work, and eager for a partner who can be a sounding board.
I have a 10 year old son who is a “guy’s guy” while still having the most emotional intelligence of anyone I’ve met. He’s a complete sweetie. I share custody, and he does not need another parent – but my ideal partner would enjoy kids, and be happy as another role model to him.
