Update (Aug. 2011): Whoa. Right then. So I hadn't taken this site seriously upon first joining, but I'm bored enough to give it another try. Let's see. This year I moved back to Santa Barbara after living in LA county for a few years. I'm looking for a job with very little luck and it's been frustrating. Hopefully my luck will improve soon, as I could use a steady income no matter how small it may be. I did join a convention report blog as a photographer/columnist last year. It's not a paying job, but I've finally found something I genuinely enjoy doing and would love to pursue as a career eventually. It's starting to look like I do have an actual goal in mind as far as my life goes, it's just getting there that I'm still having difficulty with.

There isn't much to say about myself other than the fact that I'm in an awkward state of my life where I don't know whether to shit or go blind. While most people are excited and working hard to become independent, successful adults, I'm sort of just watching from the sidelines with a look of confusion on my face.

I have a pretty basic idea of what I want to do, but for the most part, none of it really has a career path. I'm fairly apathetic towards the idea of work and school though, so I guess that would classify me as a NEET. I have a hunger to learn, but I despise the classroom setting.

I gain happiness from simpler things. Music, art, language, learning about different cultures, and the company of good friends. I'd love to be able to travel to various countries. It bothers me that I've never been outside my own and I feel like I'm missing out.

Personality wise, I'm fairly laid back. I'm a generally friendly person and not particularly combative. I do tend to be shy when first meeting someone and I find it difficult to initiate a conversation at times. However, if you do manage to get me talking, I may not stop. Use discretion.

I find humor in most things and have a hard time taking things too seriously. Sometimes people might find me offensive, but I don't mean any harm. I hate the feeling of walking on eggshells, so I treat everything as fair game.

Some might consider me a bit eccentric. I like wearing a clothing style called "lolita" that originates from Japanese street fashion. The fashion itself is based on Rococo and Victorian aesthetics. I also collect resin ball-joint dolls that I like to use as shells for characters in stories I have yet to put on paper.

Places you are bound to find me are gatherings and parties with relations to my interests. Namely conventions, concerts, art gallery parties, the local doll shop, and being all foodie-like at Korean BBQ and izakaya.

I guess in summation, what I'm looking to get out of this site is more friends. I'm particularly interested in hearing from people all over the world. So don't hesitate to contact me. I don't bite. Hard. ;o
