Hey guys, my name is Anastasiya. Just trying to see where this online dating thing will take me. I'm a really passionate person towards many things. I love history, art, psychology and the outdoors. I'm a really active person and enjoy hiking and adventures a lot! I started my journey in Russia and came to the US when I was a little kid. I went to high school here and then finally to UC Santa Cruz where I graduated with a psych degree. Now I'm back in Sherman Oaks and working while awaiting to get into grad school (hopefully fall 2014) to get my MSW. I want to work either with children or teens/adults who have undergone some form of trauma or have a mental illness/disorder. Still figuring that one out.

Currently just graduated from UCSC and I'm working as a behavior therapist for children who have Autism and other related disorders (down syndrome, cerebral palsy, etc). Also researching grad schools and prepping for the daunting GRE...

Lots of things! Soccer, swimming, memorizing things ( I know the whole "To Be or Not To Be" soliloquy), listening to people/ giving them advice.

That I look really young for my age.

Too many things to list for all of these categories! But, let's give it a try.

I love reading about philosophy, things like: Foucault, Plato, Nietzsche, Wittgenstein, Sartre, Rorty, Darwin, Hobbes, etc. It's amazing how those different views can help explain our relationships with the world.

Books: The Stranger, Hamlet, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Slaughterhouse-Five, Breakfast of Champions, The Metamorphosis (Kafka is awesome), Waiting For Godot, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Being and Nothingness, Hunger Games (DUH), A Brief History of Montmaray, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead (can you tell that I love existentialism yet?), Tao of Pooh, Lord of the Rings (classic), Anna Karenina, Death of Ivan Ilych, Frankenstein, sci-fi books, this is only the beginning... I LOVE art too, so reading anything about Classical, Roman, Greek or Romanticism is an obsession.

Movies: Horror, zombie, sci-fi, comedy, romance. Amelie is hands down one of my favorite movies though.
Brownie points if you've ever seen Bedknobs and Broomsticks; that movie was my favorite as a child, so nostalgic.

Shows: Walking Dead!!!!!, Breaking Bad, Dexter, Mad Men, Better off Ted, True Blood, Wilfred, Parks and Rec, HIMYM, Arrested Development, Law and Order: SVU, Dollhouse, Married With Children, Whose Line, Once Upon a Time, Seinfeld, Sons of Anarchy, New Girl, American Horror Story, Chicago Fire, Tru Calling, I Love Lucy, etc etc.

Music: I won't even start with music here. ALL kinds basically. I'm still really into Dubstep, but I'm not too into raving anymore. And I don't mean Skrillex, I mean the more underground stuff before it became mainstream.

Food: Sushi, Mexican, Italian, Chinese, Thai, and American.
