My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Spent my formative years in Boston, before moving to Portland on a whim in 2010. I began life as a computer science nerd, switched my focus to writing, and then went to culinary school... And, of course, now, I use none of those skills on a professional level.

I'm disinterested in percentages, and numbers, and metrics (at least in this space). I'm more interested in mannerisms, and language, and connection... I want to be intrigued and inspired. There's no backspace key in person.

I love film, living outside of my means, my cats, and punk music. I am respectful, but not uptight. I believe that life is less about what I'm doing, and more about who I'm surrounding myself with.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Living in OhNoPo, managing a locally-owned store up in St Johns (and spending entirely too much time there). Occasionally playing grill cook at a bar in SE, and forever working on a screenplay.

Between those commitments I try to spend as much time as I can with friends; cooking, eating, drinking, hiking, watching, listening, playing.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Taking entirely too many photos of my cats.
Being loyal/dependable.
Over thinking.
...Having photos taken of me in dark bars.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I wear a lot of Carhartt.

When people find out I'm from Boston they're usually surprised I don't have an accent.

I swear like a sailor, but have manners.

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Things I wouldn't want to do without...

-the cats
-public transportation
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Which friend's birthday is next, and what kind of cake I should make them. What's the cat thinking? What would be different if _______? The frustrations of capitalism. Women. Loved ones. People and things in my immediate surroundings.

I think a lot about my surroundings; I'm the person who hears and sees everything - and, admittedly, has a hard time ignoring things.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
The day of the week isn't so important, but... Out with friends in familiar, or unfamiliar, spaces. At the Laurelhurst for a movie and beer, or somewhere shooting pool (poorly). Having friends over for dinner. Omsi after dark, trying out a new restaurant... Open mic night at Helium. Sitting in a park with a book, surrounded by friendly faces.

Just staying in, watching a flick, and being around the cats, is nice too... I could watch the Skytanic episode of Archer about a billion times.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'll give you a few - cause this question is fun...

My favorite spot in Portland is either up on Council Crest, or at the Superfund wasteland up in St Johns... There's industrial ruins, rad graffiti, boat squatters, abandoned train tracks, and a beach.

I don't drive, bike, or drink coffee... I'm a bad Portlander.

In my early twenties I won, and subsequently lost, $20,000 gambling. Shrug.
