I'm 29, I'm from Greenwich, CT, but not a trustafarian. I'm generous, affectionate, smart, funny, charming, but everyone has a dark side and I'm known to be moody. I've been a dodgeball captain for four years and I love my team, we're pretty close and go out drinking weekly. I like cats but don't have one. My parents and only sibling are drug addicts, and I used to be. I've been clean for 11 years (my profile says drugs: sometimes because I still smoke pot, heroin was my problem) but drugs and addiction were central themes in my life and come up often in stories, it's pretty much impossible to avoid. If you are not sympathetic and don't want to be involved with that, I understand, no hard feelings. I've been living alone in NYC for eight years and I am in love with this city. I'm a computer programmer and my job is great, but I consider music the most important thing in my life.

(a) I nearly ended up illiterate. It's amazing how easy it is to slip through the cracks of public school systems. Whether this is related to why I didn't read for so long, I'm not sure. For years I just read William Gibson books and LotR over and over. I read a lot now and it's nice, it's like a reprieve from the world.

(d) Artichokes, steak, lo mein, sushi, duck, fried chicken.. I'm pretty easygoing with food. I used to be picky, but the only thing left that I still don't eat is mushrooms, which I find a source of embarrassment, but they gross me out. Hopefully I'll get over it soon. The thing I make for myself most often is a cucumber salad with lots of black pepper, balsamic vinegar and Frank's hot sauce.

Music, people, sex, beer, dinners at nice restaurants, walking city streets alone at night

Simple stuff, mostly.. food, tits, beer, server loads, cache/hit ratios, database indices, billiards. Hey I'm just being honest, I'm a guy.

Sometimes I go out and hit the bars, but as I approach 30, there are more and more Fridays where I just stay at home or do something a little more quiet with a couple of friends. Thursday is the new Friday. I'm claustrophobic, and I really can't stand being packed in some place like sardines, which usually happens in my neighborhood on the weekends.
