Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Heya, my name is Kyle! I'm 27 and a nerd at heart. I love books,
tabletops, video games, anime, comics, and all other kinds of
geekery. No, really, I'm into all kinds of geeky stuff. Like board
games, old computer games, cosplay, minis, all that madness.
Riveting way to start this off, huh?
Okay, so I'm also pretty artsy. I like painting, even if I suck at
it, I've been acting in community theatre since I was 8, I read
pretty often, and write on the odd occasion. Yellow is my favorite
I seem to have a considerable love for media that's... Well, old. I
guess you could say I'm kind of a hipster! NES games, old
black-and-white movies, classic cartoons, DOS-based PC games,
Oh, I guess as you can also probably tell, I talk a lot sometimes.
It's not my fault the shiny big numbers on my front page told me to
make my profile longer so it'll be more "complete"!
I'm a graduate of Western Kentucky University where I just got my
Bachelor's in Computer Information Technology. My life has been
fairly hectic lately and I really need a good stress-relief, which
I think I could find in a relationship. I could probably write
more, but I doubt most people read all that's in here
If ya wanna know more, just ask!
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Currently substitute teaching in Hopkins County, though I'm still
on the job hunt for something more in my actual field!
Considering going back to school after I take a bit of time for
myself and tackle life with a renewed vigor. I'd love to meet
someone who wants to join me!
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Acting, or so I'm told. It's hard to judge yourself, but I'm pretty
confident in my abilities. I'm not a bad singer. Writing sometimes,
and I can both read and type pretty quickly. I play video and
computer games a lot, so I'm pretty skilled at most of those.
Depends on the game, though!
I can build or craft things fairly well, which is good since I like
making costumes and props for theatre or cosplay. I know my way
around a computer and I know a few programming languages, though
I'm no genius at it, yet.
My wit is pretty sharp. I'm not exactly the "group clown" type, but
I can always chime in at the perfect moment with a good quip on
most days. I've also been working on being a lot more domestic,
lately. I've picked up cooking, and I don't mind cleaning or
organizing things on occasion!
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Probably my hair. If it's long, then... Well, it's usually really
long, and really curly. If it's short, it seems to always rest in
this strange swoop that looks like I gelled it back even though I
only combed it a bit. Also I've almost always got some kind of
facial hair, it just grows quickly.
After that, probably the strength of my personality and my tendency
to have an air of confidence around me even when I'm not all that
confident on the inside. I don't normally get into fights and I'm
told I'm pretty easy to get along with, so I guess that's good.
Usually people with strong personalities can clash, but I suppose I
don't really have that problem.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Normally, I hate picking a favorite ANYTHING, but for the sake of
my profile, I'll go ahead and list some things:
Favorite books? Well, let's see... Probably the Discworld series,
Redwall, and Make Love The Bruce Campbell Way.
Movies... Geez, so many good ones! Let's go with Hot Fuzz. Oh, and
I guess I should mention it, but I LOVE scary/horror movies and
games. So, if you do, too, that's great!
As for music, I listen to all kinds of stuff, but I'm partial to
older rock/hair metal and especially chiptunes.
Food... As gross as most people think it is, I can't resist a good
meatloaf, especially if it's got chopped onions in it and has a
well-done ketchup icing.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
[In no particular order...]
1) Video & Computer Games
3) Anime & Manga
4) Home-made Food
6) My Friends (barf, I know)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Ways to be "different" or "better". It kind of sounds shallow, but
I don't know... Just, I want to be important, you know? I think
that's what everyone wants, but it just seems to be really
important to me. I think I don't want to be "just that guy" more
than most people.
Also, my friends. No, really! They're great. I'm away from a lot of
my friends pretty often, so I think about them when I miss them.
Interestingly, our friends group has contained the same core people
since my Freshman year of high school, and we're still all together
now, over six years later, and we don't even all go to the same
colleges! Pretty cool, I think.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Hanging out with my friends, probably playing games or watching a
movie. Chances are we're also passing jokes around and making
complete fools of ourselves.
If I'm by myself for some reason, then I'm probably reading,
playing a game or watching some Netflix. I'm a pretty simple guy.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Well if I admit something, then it won't very well be private any
more, now will it? I guess I can settle with something I don't
normally run up to people I've never met and yell at them...
I've rethought life recently and I've got a much more positive
outlook than I previously had. I see the good in all people, now,
and I think most people want to do the right thing. That makes me
immensely trusting of everyone, even people I've never met, and I
try to be nice to others.
I'm also fairly certain that I've never actually BEEN in love
despite THINKING that I was multiple times before.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
- You're a single female that thinks I seem interesting.
- You think I seem cool and we could get along as friends
(regardless of gender or marital status).
Uhh... Yeah, that's pretty much it. I'm usually pretty cool.
Although I WILL say this: if you, at any point during reading my
profile even thought you may want to potentially message me, then
go ahead. It only takes a few seconds, and I'm not picky. Even if
you just say, "Yo, what's up?" and nothing else I'll read it and
get back to you. We only live once, and you never want to second
guess yourself or you could end up regretting a choice you never
took! Who knows, those few seconds could eventually lead to a new
