My self-summary
Like everyone, I'm not great at filling these out, though in person I'm sure you'd find I have no trouble talking about myself. Hmm... In general I'm an easy going guy. I'm hard to offend and easy to make laugh.

Born and raised in Kansas, and lived most of my life in Topeka, with a three year stint in Lawrence, and then another three years in Philadelphia. Best part of being there was seeing the cast from Its Always Sunny do "The Nightman Cometh" live. Fun fact, in person, Charlie Day might be the most handsome man I've ever seen.

Oh, and according to my personality tab, I'm excessively sex driven and far more sloppy than other straight men my age...Okcupid does not have a very high opinion of me at all. The funny thing is that the "sloppy" part bothers me more. When I hear sloppy I think of some guy sitting around in a mustard stained wife beater. Also, I just took some of the tests on here, and if I didn't know me, and only saw the results of those tests, I would hate me. "The Liberated Lover"? "The Modern-Cool Nerd"? ... ugh.
What I’m doing with my life
Right now, I'm working intermittently on finishing my degree (business... blah), and working at an advocacy group for kids with disabilities, and hocking rentals at family video. Jealous?

This is probably as good a place as any to confess that I am a super nerd, and not in a cool way. I have long, long discussions (read: "angry/heated arguments") with people about comics and genre films, and I do free-lance sculpting work for toy companies. Like super hero toys. I don't tread the dark and smelly path of the Neck Beard, but I also wouldn't say that who your favorite superhero is and why isn't serious bidness to me. Just thought that needed to be put out there.

I spend an inordinate amount of my free time cooking, and most of the rest of it not doing much at all.
I’m really good at
Cooking, trivia, and teaching my dog to stick his paws in the air when I point my hand at him like a gun.

I'm passable at sculpting, and I play the guitar and banjo, but whether or not i'm "really good at them" is debatable.
The first things people usually notice about me
My deep, deep tan. Most people figure I'm from Trinidad.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: Blood Merdian; or The Evening Redness in the West by Cormac McCarthy, actually anything by Cormac McCarthy, A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius by Dave Eggers... more generally, I'm a big fan of Melville (particularly bartleby the scrivener), Faulkner (absalom, absalom! is my favorite of his) Hemingway (for whom the bell tolls), and embarrassingly, the Brontes. Tina Feys autobiography was hilarious, I definitely recommend it.

Movies: The Empire Strikes Back, Once Upon a Time in the West, Let the Right One In, Zoolander, lots of Tim Burton movies, anything by Alfonso Cuaron, Alien, Die Hard, tons of cheesy 80s action flicks... lots of others.

TV: Arrested Development, Its Always Sunny, Archer, Parks and Rec, Deadwood, Carnivale, Fringe, Futurama, Sherlock, New Girl, Louis

Music: The Killers, Mumford and Sons, Black Kids, Say Anything, Coheed and Cambria, Death Cab for Cutie, Phil Collins, Don Henley, Queen, St. Vincent, Rilo Kiley, Prince, Iron and Wine, Fleetwood Mac, My Chemical Romance, Alkaline Trio, Brand New, Straylight Run, Murder by Death
The six things I could never do without
1. My Dog, Captain Winston C. Havlock, Grand Engineer of the Candybean Express, Non-stop to New Westwick.

That's his real name. It's on his registration.

2. My laptop, because of the interwebs.

3. Button up shirts.

4. Books

5. Caffeine

6. Protein shakes for when I get my pump on. I know in my pictures it looks like I just got my pump on, but actually in all of them my gym was closed, so I couldn't get my pump on. I just did like 10 push ups before them, like a pro. I mean 10 in a row too. Good ones! Not the girly ones with my knees on the floor. I mean like 10 good push ups. Maybe it was more like 8 or 9 good ones and then I started slacking at the end. Ok, so it was like 5 good ones and five lady ones. I'm thinking of just switching to steroids.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Getting a face tattoo. But like a classy one.
On a typical Friday night I am
Out in Lawrence with my friends, usually at a quieter bar.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Katy Perrys "Teenage Dream" moves me.
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 18–35
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating
You should message me if
A cow tried to jump over a barbed wire fence. It was utter destruction.

If you found that as funny as I did, please contact me immediately.

Honesty though, I could probably write anything here and it wouldn't matter. Girls don't message guys on a site like this. I've come to terms with that.
