Hello! Here are few things about me. I am originally from Long Island, NY. Very interested in politics (worked as a staffer on a bunch of political campaigns before law school) - I double majored in poli sci and history. I am currently an internet law attorney at a big firm here in DC. Love all kinds of new gadgets and technology from the Tesla car to the iwatch (though I have neither of those things -yet).
I am looking for someone who is smart, funny, and social. Someone who is both invested in their career and also has time for friends and family. I am very close to my friends and family and love the times when everyone can get together around thanksgiving or a big party. Enjoy going to new restaurants/bars/happy hour spots in DC, it seems like a new place opens up every week these days. So I figured I'd meet new people on here and see where it goes from there. If you are around DC and want to hang out sometime just let me know!
What I’m doing with my life
Working as an internet lawyer at a big law firm.
Starting to travel more - planning for at least one big trip abroad each year.
I’m really good at
I am #1 in the Star Trek category for DC on the QuizUp app - is that even a good thing to admit on here?
The first things people usually notice about me
This is a strange question. Doesn't it depend on the situation? I
guess if we meet up, you can let me know what you noticed first.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Love making the occasional trip out to Wegmans (ie, the best grocery store ever). Like most guys, I enjoy watching football (NFL Redzone) or playing video games to relax after a long day at work. Not exciting but true - people make up way too many stories on here about how they are constantly going to art museums or sitting in the sculpture garden during every free moment. That being said, I like being outdoors during the spring/fall when it's not 100 degrees in DC (or zero degrees like this winter).
Favorite tv shows: Game of Thrones, Lost, Sopranos, West Wing (though you would be surprised how dated its become), The Wire, Walking Dead, Knight Rider, Family Guy, comic book shows (ie, Flash) and an odd fascination with QVC/HSN.
Favorite food: steak, authentic NY pizza, grilled cheese, chicken fingers
Favorite sport: football (go Giants!) baseball (Nats)
Favorite movies: Braveheart, Citizen Kane, mindless summer action movies, Casablanca, Pixar (pre-Cars 2), Godfather Part 1/2 (not 3).
Favorite book: the Hobbit, Wheel of Time, Game of Thrones, Watership Down, Truman, Wool
The six things I could never do without
Family/friends (but they aren't really "things")
Gchat at work (some offices apparently don't allow this?!)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
What the people on "Doomsday Preppers" will do when the apocalypse never comes.
How "Empire Records" perfectly encapsulates a certain and now long-gone aspect of 90s culture (and btw, if you know of this movie, you should definitely message me).
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I have a bizarre fascination with home shopping networks and people
who think the world will end soon (possibly the same group of
You should message me if
You like 90s cartoons (such as Disney afternoon or animaniacs),
summer action movies, long walks on the beach, traveling, Jewish/NY
food, the idea of having a "command center" on election night, a
smart/sarcastic Jewish guy, or any and all of the above!
