ME: I enjoy spending time out on the water, whether that be on a jet ski, swimming, or being yanked around by a boat. I like to stay active, hiking and running, camping, fishing, (some) hunting... I'm not a huge fan of the treadmill, I prefer actually going somewhere. Some of my favorite sports are soccer, and golf. I can't hit a golf ball straight to save my life, but I still like getting out and swinging a club. I can't stand watching either sport on TV, though.

YOU: I'm looking for someone down-to-earth, caring, and active. I'd like someone who shares some interests, but at the same time can introduce me to new ones, and vice versa. I'm not looking for casual dating, but I want to form a solid foundation through friendship first.

I graduated from Eastern Mennonite University with a bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts. Don't laugh. Whenever I say this, I feel like I have to add that, while I attended EMU, that does NOT mean that I am Mennonite. It was just a small school that appealed to me visually and academically.

I'd love to own my own business some day, but my true calling is in helping people. I am currently navigating the pipeline to become a Virginia State Trooper. (UPDATE JAN 22, 2012: I have successfully completed the screening process and will be attending academy in February.) I want to do something in public service; something to give back to my community. (And writing a speeding ticket here and there... >:D)

Most people notice that I'm relatively quiet. I'm content with listening to the conversation.

Food: Pretty much anything but beets, and sushi. Although I might be willing to try sushi another time.

In the summer, I'm out on a boat, at the bar, driving with the top down, and quite possibly (depending on my alcohol consumption)...all three. Disclaimer: I do not practice, nor do I condone driving while under the influence of alcoholic beverages.
