I am bubbly, opinionated, and loyal.

My Self-Summary

I am working towards a degree in Human Development and possibly, a minor in Communications and Music (if I have the time). I'm aspiring to be an elementary school teacher (preferably grades 1-3). I also have a strong passion for animals and music. I have three dogs (Shadow, Sugar, and Boy--we didn't name him, but he won't answer to anything else >_<) who are back at home.

I enjoy being independent, but like having people around. I can have a temper, but I can't hold a grudge to save my life...I forget as easily as I forgive. I'm a hopeless romantic and emotionally driven person, but not sensitive or uptight. (A whole mess of contradictions aren't I? ;D). It doesn't take a lot to make me happy, and I like to think of myself as an optimist.

What I’m doing with my life

Well, right now, I'm working towards finishing that Degree, and then I'm hoping to get my teaching credential. Other than that, the usual, enjoying life, and taking it one day at a time! =D

I’m really good at

baking, swimming, cooking, playing the piano, singing in the shower, being clumsy, being sarcastic, laughing, making random (and not always good) jokes to break those "awkward silences", badminton, volleyball, (all referred sports being completely recreational of course =D), pool and bowling (chalk that up to Davis and the MU). =)

I dabble in a lot and have interest in many things. I'm always ready to take up a new activity. Guess you could say I'm a jack of all trades, master of none.

The first things people usually notice about me

Hmmm, I don't actually know, I've never thought to ask anyone that.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Hmm...books...I really enjoyed All Things Bright and Beautiful (actually, all of James Herriot's books), The DaVinci Code, Dante's Inferno, and Memoirs of a Geisha. I'm currently trying to find time to start on Angels and Demons.

As for movies, the only genre I tend to shy away from is horror/thriller (I'm easily scared, and usually can't sleep after seeing one XD). I'm always a fan of comedy and musicals, good with action films and romance, and partial to tragedy or drama. Some movies I really liked: Moulin Rouge, Sound of Music, Singing in the Rain, Iron Man, The Negotiator, 50 First Dates, The Holiday, Inside Man, Hot Fuzz, and Up.
As for TV shows, I like quite a few, but have never been able to successfully follow them every week...so I'm always looking for the DVDs. Among them: Bones (In my opinion one of the best investigative shows on right now), The Big Bang Theory, How I Met Your Mother (Barney Stinson is legend...wait for it...dary!), The Mentalist, Man vs. Wild (yes, I know it's not real, but still entertaining), Friends, and basically anything on the food network.

As for music, I really enjoy all types of music...I don't really have a favorite genre or band. Seriously, I will listen to anything, country, pop, r&b, punk, rock, classical...ok...with the exception of heavy metal. =D

And food, I love pretty much all kinds, esp. Thai, Greek, Korean (the best are always those hole-in-the-wall places XD), and I'm always up to trying new and exotic dishes. ^_^

The six things I could never do without

1. Friends and Family
2. My Dogs/pets
3. Music (playing and listening)
4. My Car (let's go exploring!)
5. Someone/people to talk to--to that effect, i guess internet/phone are included.
6. Humor/Laughter (it's those endorphins XD)

I spend a lot of time thinking about

A lot of stuff. Mostly about the future, I want to be self sufficient and have a career I enjoy. Traveling, when I'm going to get a chance to, and where I'm going to go (all over the world). =D Who I can spontaneously call up to hang out with when I'm bored. I'm always wondering about what the future will hold, but have faith that everything will work out..and even if it doesn't, I always believe there are alternative solutions.

On a typical Friday night I am

At home, watching a movie, baking, cooking, or out with friends...just depends on the Friday.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I'm afraid of the dark, especially after a scary movie.

You should message me if

you don't mind sarcasm, like meeting new people, and want to. =D
