What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I was living in Chicago and attending Columbia College for film, but decided to take some time off and transfer to UWM in the fall. New job. New school. New apartment. New experiences. Back to being an eastside kid where I belong.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.

Being open-minded

Laughing at myself

Being a dork

Getting scared during horror movies

Being clumsy

Dancing(not sure how that happened with the aforementioned clumsiness)

Singing in both appropriate and inappropriate situations.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My sense of style. Love it or hate it. I shop mainly at thrift stores and have had an affinity towards all things vintage for some time now. I was even voted "most born in the wrong decade" back in high school.

Side note: You will rarely, if ever, see me in anything other than a dress/skirt unless I'm at work. Pants are overrated.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: Pride and Prejudice, Into the Wild, Kiss Me Like a Stranger, Catcher in the Rye.
*currently reading The Road by Cormac McCarthy
**Recommend me a book! I love reading but never know what to pick.

Movies: Fur, Labyrinth, Pan's Labyrinth, The Adventures of Baron Munchausen, Pulp Fiction, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Rocky Horror Picture Show, Lord of the Rings, James and the Giant Peach, The Shining, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, Crybaby, etc

Shows: Sons of Anarchy, Once Upon a Time, New Girl, American Horror Story, Girls, True Blood, Twilight Zone, Arrested Development, Wilfred, HIMYM, It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia

Music: Joanna Newsom, David Bowie, Edward Sharpe, Mugison, Alabama Shakes, Ray Charles, Billie Holiday, Dr. Dog, Lou Rawls, Andrew Bird, Antony and the Johnsons, Awolnation, Bert Jansch, White Stripes, Lana Del Rey, Lou Reed, Bon Iver, CocoRosie, Dead Man's Bones, Elvis, Elvis Costello, Hazmat Modine, Frank Sinatra, Grizzly Bear, Alt-J, The xx, Davina and the Vagabonds, Maps and Atlases, Nina Simone, Tom Waits, etc

Food: Sushi, Pho, Spedini; I love exploring new cultures and this is true down to the food. I'll try anything once.

When I'm not trying to sound all cultured and whatnot you can find me eating grilled cheese with creamy tomato soup or baked mac. I have the alternate palate of a five-year-old. Can you dig it?
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. Family. They're frustrating as hell, but I just can't seem to stay away.
2. Camera. I prefer my 35mm, but as long as I have something to record the life around me, I'm satisfied.
3. Friends. Gotta love em...
4. Voice/Music. Nothing picks up my mood like singing along to my favorite songs. Coming up with my own harmonies is therapeutic in a sense. Almost like meditation.
5. Netflix. If you have it, you understand.
6. Humor. What is life without humor?
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Why I keep buying books when I haven't started the last one I bought.

Am I turning into a cat person? :0

How it's possible that I don't know all the lyrics to any song yet always manage to sing along.

Why do people like really spicy food? Is spice a flavor, because to me it's just edible pain?

Dropping everything and going on a spontaneous adventure. Be the Clyde to my Bonnie? You know, minus the whole robbing and getting killed bit...whoopsies
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Working, having a drink with some friends, at a hookah bar, or just staying in and watching a movie or reading a book if I find the motivation.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
1.) Sometimes I fall into speaking with a British accent for no apparent reason. Most of the time it's by accident. Just go with it...

2.) I secretly take the fortunes from fortune cookies too seriously. One time I got an empty cookie...I didn't know what to do with myself. Jk...kinda.

3.) I joke, but I'm secretly a romantic. I don't mean to dissuade you from grand romantic gestures, but I'm more of "the little moments" kind of girl. The moments in a relationship when you think I'm sleeping so I notice when you pull the blanket over my exposed shoulder. That's the real stuff.
