First of all: yes, my screen name looks like a typo cos it was a typo at some point, then a dear kiwi friend of mine turned it into a pet name, so Anglepants it is :-]

I'm one of those people who believe they should have been born in another country, another time, another planet even. Can't stay put in one place too long, but routine is good sometimes, it gives you the feeling you'll be able to tell which way things will swing.

I think too much before speaking my mind, as most asians and people of asian descent do. I've found that even though I was born in Brazil growing up among this culture, stil I have picked up many of the typical japanese behavioural traits. Hate injustice, which makes it a terrible irony that I was born in this country...

I welcome boys and girls who are just looking for a nice chat, and nothing more.

Cultural differences fascinate me, I'm very interested in exchanging impressions. A foreigner's take on Brazil can go from funny to ridiculous, so I try to learn from people living in other countries as much as I can.

Trying to bend it into a better shape.

Listening to people and crochet =D

I am very interested in anything DIY related, crochet gives me the opportunity to create unique clothes. I have made myself halter tops, bags, head bands, now I'm aiming for amigurumi (crochet animals and foods. All they have in common is cuteness, almost too cute for my taste actually).

I've recently realised that I can be very good at holding grudges, but only when people have really screwed up with me.

That I'm very shy and kept to myself, at first. When we're past the initial formalities, most people tell me "with that face no one would imagine you are like THAT", meaning I can be a bit insane in the brain and a dork, but only if I'm intimate enough with the person I'm talking to.

Some people today just take things for granted, and I've had enough. If everybody minded their own business, didn't cross any lines if they're not invited, society would improve, I could bet my liver on that.

books by Stephen Jay Gould, Richard Dawkins (strongly recommend The God Delusion), Marion Zimmer Bradley, Agatha Christie just for fun sometimes, and Jorge Amado. Am trying to get started on Carl Sagan and Terry Pratchett, if I ever find the time to sit down and read non academic stuff. Recently I cried reading Shogun.

Lots of movies to mention. A time to kill, 8mm, barefoot gen, terminator 2, 300, blue velvet, the professional, lost highway, big fish, taxi driver, the godfather, ghost (I cry everytime...), donnie brasco, the hours, tudo sobre mi madre, mulholland drive, reservoir dogs, annie hall, raise the red lantern, so on and so on. I'm very open to movie suggestions. Been very into documentaries lately, Zeitgeist, hearts & minds, WWI and WWII stuff, serial killers, astronomy, history of art and religion. Simon Schama's Power of Art series just blew my mind.

The one tv show I absolutely adore is Law & Order, old school. Detective Mike Logan *lustful sigh*

Music: usually I stick to the old stuff over the new bands on offer today. led zeppelin, slayer, blind guardian, old metallica, pantera, dead kennedys, pennywise, alice in chains, bad religion, buzzcocks, superchunk, tool, queen, dream theatre, ramones, soundgarden, some johnny cash, frank zappa, almir sater, king diamond, misfits, johnny winter, grand funk, ravi shankar is the man, and I absolutely love KISS!

as for food ill eat anything mum cooks, japanese food is great, love pasta as well. i have an uncontrolable desire for mashed potatoes, potato chips, french fries, sautee, anything with potatoes on it. white rice and raw egg doesn't taste as bad as it sounds too. i've been told raw crab is good, but haven't been there yet.

Music lyrics, some deeper questions that blow my mind such as how did the universe come into existence, how everything works, why and how people can be cruel to other humans and to animals, lots of "what ifs" popping in my head. And sex. But not with strangers or random people :p. And what it would be like if I lived around more educated people.
