My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Mary Oliver writes, "What are you going to do with your one wild, precious life?" Something about who I am is how much this speaks to me. I'm gentle and kind and passionate about people and things that mater to me. I'm smart and easy to be with, and there's an intensity about me. Perceptive, attuned, musical, a yogi. I have a quirky sense of humor and am playful and in my body kind of playful. I have lots of interests, some of which I wrote about here, many not.

I know myself well and know what I am looking for in a partner and a relationship, though I'm open to surprises and being surprised! You will probably really like me if you're an evolving type of man...

A note that I don't have children, but only because of where my life took me earlier on, and would welcome yours with respect and an open heart.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Someone sent this poem to me and it fits.

When I Am Among the Trees
especially the willows and the honey locust,
equally the beech, the oaks, and the pines,
they give off such hints of gladness,
I would almost say that they save me, daily.
I am so distant from the hope of myself,
in which I have goodness, and discernment,
and never hurry through the world
but walk slowly, and bow often.
Around me the trees stir in their leaves
and call out, "Stay a while."
The light flows from their branches.
And they call again, "It's simple,"they say.
"and you too have come
into the world to do this, to go easy, to be filled
with light, and to shine."
~Mary Oliver
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Connecting with people and putting them at ease, dancing, singing, being healthy, my work, being serious and not being serious...actually both are true.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
probably my eyes, or my voice which I admit, makes me feel good when someone notices my voice.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
movies, City Lights, Frank Capra films, The Wizard of Oz, Casablanca, The Philadelphia Story, Charade, A Room with a View, Romeo &Juliet, (1969) Lovers and Other Strangers, Witness, 81/2, Star Wars, All of Me, Shawshank Redemption, Good Will Hunting, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind...these are some just coming to me now.

I gravitate towards yoga and spiritual books, love classics, historical fiction, novels I find interesting in the 2nd hand book store, Barbara Kingsolver, The Alchemist. I read the Harry Potter Books and still don't feel she needed to get so dark.

Music so much. I grew up studying classical music and Bach is probably my favorite but it's impossible to choose really. Much music from 60's, 70's, kirtan and kundalini yoga music (which is fantastic if you haven't heard it), I even listen to top 40 music in the car, don't prefer rap but appreciate it more than I used to.

I'm a native New Yorker and appreciate ethnic and interesting food…love summer farmer's markets and love to cook. Mostly I'm health conscious and feel much better without gluten!
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
authenticity, yoga- being physical,, nature, music, joy and kindness
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Life, simply and complexly (if that's a word)
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
hopefully alive and well!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
This is my real age.

...you're somewhat out of the box; curious, smart, attuned, and want a vital, heart connection with your partner.
You take care of yourself physically, which I do. I would rather be alone than nag someone about this!!
Oh one more thing…please be a good kisser! Have I been out of the dating scene so long? Where has the the 'art of kissing' gone?!
