Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I am a very honest and genuine person. I have both a fun-loving and
a serious side. I love to talk about all kinds of things and
there's nothing more enjoyable than laughing so hard you have to
catch your breath. I see life as full of wonderful opportunities
that can never be exhausted - there are always more places to
visit, books to read, things to learn, conversations to have, etc.
Although I've never been married, I have had long term
relationships. As for what I'm looking for, an intelligent, curious
mind combined with a clever wit is extremely appealing to me. I
like to stay fit, healthy and youthful looking, and would like to
be with someone who feels the same way. I also would like a man who
has a good heart, and is open-minded and sincere. If you consider
yourself a rightwinger, we won't be compatible, but if you like Jon
Stewart and Stephen Colbert, we can laugh together.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I am recently retired and am now pursuing a hobby that I have
enjoyed for many years - creative writing. I'm particularly focused
on writing plays now but I am also interested in writing a novel.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Being a friend, being genuine, enjoying life, keeping a
conversation going and interesting and, hopefully, a fair number of

It's always hard to name my favorite books because I've read so
many I like. Most recently, I read Me Before You and loved it. Over
the years, some authors I have enjoyed are
William Styrone, Pat Conroy and Wally Lamb. I loved Eat, Pray and
Love and Memoirs of a Geisha. Some recent non-fiction books I've
read and enjoyed include Bossypants by Tina Fey, Outliers and Game
Change. One of my all time favorite non-fiction books is The Powers
That Be, which is about the media.
My favorite movies include: A Few Good Men, Broadcast News, When
Harry Met Sally, City Slickers (the first one, NOT the sequel), and
The Way We Were. My favorite TV shows currently are The Newsroom,
Real Time with Bill Maher, The Colbert Report and Nashville. I
loved the first few seasons of Damages.
As for music, I like the Killers, the Indigo Girls, Alanis
Morissette, Mark Knopfler, Melissa Etheridge and many others in the
rock, alternative, folk rock, and country rock categories.
For food, I especially like Italian cuisine. Specific favorite
foods include soft shell crab, grilled calamari, arugula and dates
rolled in almonds.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Love, family, friendship, laughter, my writing and sunshine.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How I wish there were more hours in the day and I wish time were
not passing so quickly!
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
I'm either out witha friend or friends having a good meal or seeing
a play or a movie, or relaxing at home.
