I'm the type of person who will stop to smell flowering trees if the urge strikes, go to the beach and dig a hole in the sand for an hour for no other reason than because it's relaxing and fun, chase flocks of birds, or walk in a zigzag to step on as many crunchy leaves as possible.

I've got a pretty broad sense of humor spanning a huge variety of topics. If I read or hear a joke I don't understand, I will go look up why it was funny so I can laugh at similar jokes/topics in the future. This has worked surprisingly well!

I like pirates, dinosaurs, Internet memes/fads, and napping on the couch with my dog with CreateTV cooking shows playing in the background.

I'm having an affair with the color orange. No seriously. Most people "like" a color, or have a "favorite". I am so far beyond that. I see some piece of garbage thing in a store, it doesn't matter what it is or if I need/can use it, or even if I WANT the damn thing, but if it's orange I get all 5-year-old grabbyhands for it. Mineminemine.

I love to travel. Canada, Mexico, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand so far!

Currently I'm very actively fascinated by cosmology, astronomy, and astrophysics. String theory, M-theory, the big bang, bubble universes, dark matter/energy, black holes, etc. I cannot get enough of it. I still don't fully understand most of it, but I think that mental challenge makes me enjoy it more.

The 80's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon is, despite it's poor quality control, one of the best shows ever made.

I like pets! I have a ball python, a leopard gecko, a black cat, and a Shiba Inu (which is a dog).

Currently taking a break from IT support. I enjoy helping people and they enjoy me helping them, but I have little passion for it. Thinking if I moved into more server-related roles I'd be happier, but I'm also considering a complete career change. I've been looking into going back to school for biology/chemistry/geology to study birds, dinosaurs, and their relationship to each other. (I FREAKING LOVE DINOSAURS!)

Going to San Diego Comic Con every year and having a blast.

I'm actually pretty sedentary when left to my own devices, but I do enjoy regular shenanigans and adventures. Some of my regularly scheduled group shenanigans include: viewings of RuPaul's Drag Race (FIERCE!)/Game of Thrones/Doctor Who, knitting night (been working on a 4th Doctor scarf for over a year now), and Geeks Who Drink trivia (we win a LOT! :D).

I'd love to get into archery again.

One time in elementary school (around 3rd grade) I had to go to the bathroom really bad. It was during recess and the lunch aid wouldn't let me go inside, so I sat down and purposely peed my pants just to spite her.

It bothers me when people abbreviate Doctor Who as Dr. Who.

It drives me nuts if the plates/bowls in the cupboard are not stacked according to size/shape.

Sometimes while attempting to speak to friends in public places, I will accidentally make eye contact with strangers and announce inane activities I'd done that day, such as eating a sandwich.

You've bothered with proper spelling, punctuation, and grammar in your profile. I know "it's the internet" and "who cares so long as the point gets across", but you're here, theoretically, to try to impress someone so you should at least bother putting in the effort of a quick proof-read. I'm not looking for perfection here (it is the internet and I do realize there will be typos and whatnot) but something at least implying a 12th grade reading level is appreciated.

You can accept the fact that, while chivalry is all well and good (and appreciated), I can open doors myself or pay for my own meal. An even balance of being pampered and being independent is key. :)
