My self-summary
Hi, I'm Colin.

I am an unabashed nerd, a tech geek, an occasional actor and athlete, a frequent gentleman wastrel, a "cross between the 10th Doctor [David Tennant] and Neil Patrick Harris", energetic, optimistic, and a pretty swell guy to know.

Some of my favorite things in life are ghost towns, thunderstorms, olive skewers shaped like little swords, books with pages yellowed by age, foreign films with subtitles, and perfectly-chilled pickles.

Politically I'm all sorts of liberal - but I'll bet you already figured that out from our match percentage.
What I’m doing with my life
I just moved to Cap Hill (in July 2012) to take advantage of the 'new urbanism' concept of which I'm always extolling the virtues. Next, I just have to snag a job in Denver proper so I can do away with my daily commute down to the DTC. Now that I'm here I'm excited to make some new friends in the area.

I received my B.A. in Philosophy from the University of Colorado at Boulder in '08 and I'm currently managing litigation for a bank. My side project is an organizational culture consultancy helping employers to understand the demands and desires of the Millenial generation regarding the workplace, work/life balance, corporate ethical conduct, etc.

I've got a list of things I'd like to get to in the next few years including going skydiving and traveling to Germany for Oktoberfest (I'm actually more of a wine guy than a connoisseur of beers but it remains a festival not to be missed). I'd also like to get into urban spelunking and geocaching.

I really enjoy running, and I'd also like to find a casual soccer league in Denver.

In short, I'm looking for meaning in all the best places - wanna come?
I’m really good at
Wine pairings.

Fitting in comfortably anywhere - from a rockabilly show at a dive bar to a black tie charity dinner and everything in between.

Tact, etiquette, accents, raising one eyebrow, spelling & grammar, simultaneously jumping in the air and giving high fives.
The first things people usually notice about me
That a police officer is reminding me the 'jaws of life' are a powerful and important lifesaving apparatus - not a toy.

I'm not someone who claims to "like pretty much everything" when it comes to music but I do have a smattering of favorites in most genres and I'll give anything a shot (except Nepalese Yak-Shouting, it had its chance).

Food: According to Foursquare my top checkins are in the following categories; American, Asian, Mexican, Bars, Bakeries.

The six things I could never do without
intellectual stimulation, physical pleasure, amazing friends, fantastic food, excellent wine.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Whether the character of Jayne Cobb from the t.v. show Firefly (and the movie Serenity) is a 'bad' person.

How Bertrand Russell managed to channel such large amounts of win.

Transhumanism
On a typical Friday night I am
At dinner, at a bar, at a pub, at a show, at a movie, on someone's couch, on my couch, occasionally inside an aeroplane.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I don't have opinions about sports teams.
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 21–39
  • Near me
  • For new friends, activity partners
You should message me if
You'd like a running partner in the Cap Hill area.

You need another person for your board game/card game/tabletop game night.

You want to meet up for drinks and see if we hit it off.
