I am awake way too late, sleepy all day, and ready for a nap.
My Self-Summary
Hi! I'm April. I was born and raised in Florida, but I hope to one
day live somewhere else, somewhere with four seasons, at least for
awhile. I like goofy things like robots, spaceships, dinosaurs, and
pretty much anything super colorful. I dig jewelry, shoes,
video games,
nostrils, plaid, polka-dots, green,
traveling, Kentucky, beards,
impulsiveness,
swimming,
camping,
snorkeling, mashed potatoes, beer, my
friends,
board
games, music, silliness, not in that particular order. I don't
really like driving. I do it to get where I'm going, but usually if
I'm in the car with someone else, I convince them to drive. That
being said, if you can convince me to drive to where you are to
hang out with you, feel really special, because I very rarely do
that.
I don't have lots of friends, but the ones I have are awesome. I
tend to be a pretty good judge of character.
I'm interested in meeting new people with whom I have things in
common. I am all for making new friends! I dig passion... It's an
awesome quality. I don't necessarily mean romantic passion, just
loving things, having strong opinions. If you want a relationship,
that's great, but I'm not interested in flings, 'casual
encounters', or anything. I want the real thing. I'm way past the
point of wanting to waste time with someone who isn't 'the one'.
But.. I want to make it very clear... just because we meet on here,
and I find you interesting enough to talk to, don't assume I am
interested in dating you... I am also looking for friends, so
please don't jump to conclusions. It's unattractive.
What I’m doing with my life
I'd like to start school soon for elementary education. I've always
wanted to be a teacher. But for now I sell jewelry at
JCPenney.
Update:I just started taking classes to get my daycare
certification. It isn't what I want to do with the rest of my life,
but it is a short-term solution that is bringing me closer to my
long-term goal.
I’m really good at
Selling jewelry!!! Also, um... crossword puzzles!!! Trivia!!!
Buying things on clearance!!! Holding my liquor!!! I don't really
know what to say. I'm a girl of (not-so-)many talents.
The first things people usually notice about me
My bright red hair. Then, the fact that I am very loud.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Books: I like mostly novels about nothing. Lol. I've recently
gotten into some manga. I just read whatever strikes my fancy at
the time.
Movies: Amelie, A Beautiful Mind, Garden State, Stranger than
Fiction, Superbad, Juno, Away We Go, The Science of Sleep, to name
a few. Not a big fan of action movies.
Music: I love Datarock, Ingrid Michaelson, The Cure, Depeche Mode,
Lisa Loeb, Kanye West, Justin Timberlake, The Shins, Frou Frou... I
like lots of different kinds of music. I hate Linkin Park, I
dislike Puddle of Mudd, there are many popular bands I just can't
stand.
Food: TACOS are my favorite ever EVER!!! I also like sushi, mashed
potatoes, vegetables, steak.... I dislike coconut, blueberries,
pretty much all fruit, actually.
The six things I could never do without
1. Friends
2. Family
3. Corrective Lenses
4. Love
5. Interwebs
6. A fan while I'm sleeping
I spend a lot of time thinking about
doing something productive, yet never actually doing it. Making
more money without having to do anything. Who I can hang out with
tonight to avoid being alone, and avoid doing the things I actually
should be doing.
On a typical Friday night I am
either at home on the internet being lame, or with friends playing
board games or going out to eat.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
eh.. I dunno. I'm certainly not shy, so if you want to know
something, ask me.
You should message me if
you want someone to do nerdy, lame things with, if you aren't a
creepy weirdo (but I'm all for non-creepy weirdos.), if I seem
interesting to you, or if I seem particularly uninteresting.
Whatever. I a'int scurred. Message me.
Don't bother messaging me if your page is full of grammatical
errors. One or two is fine, a typo here and there is normal, but if
you couldn't pass fifth grade English, don't waste your time
talking to me.
