1944 Vintage Aquarian Lady interested in men near my own age. Well adjusted, easy going, capable, sometimes wise, sometimes silly, somewhat smarter than the average bear. Always good at school type tasks. Usually listen more than I talk--but am very articulate. Would prefer to give a speech to 200 than go to a cocktail party alone. Widowed in 2005. Retired since 1997. Have RV'd most of US and Canada. A single water skier at an earlier time. Not willing to sky dive but no fear of private planes, gliders and hot air balloons. Not much of a swimmer but went scuba diving in the Caribbean. Started driving a tractor at age 6, a jeep at age 8, a car at age 11--yeah, I was a farm kid. Left after high school and never looked back. Eventually graduated to driving ski boats and RV's. Favorite activities are duplicate bridge, reading a good book, humming along to music I recognize, exploring new ideas, going to art shows, taking in a current events lecture, watching golf on TV, creative writing, home decorating, shopping, and getting together with friends.

Free to do what I like, when I like. Always busy. Play competitive bridge, and teach bridge. On the board of a non-profit charity. Enjoy time with friends. Have finished the first draft of a murder mystery and writing book #2.

Pretty much average or better at anything I set my mind to--except golf-- I wasn't good at golf. Good problem solver--but a somewhat non-linear thinker. I don't take myself too seriously, and I find humor in many things. I'm considered an excellent teacher, and am often asked for my suggestions on problems.

I'm often told I have a beautiful smile and a nice public speaking voice.
Frequently people tell me I look just like someone they know, but of course, I think I look just like me.

Favorite Book: The Shepard by Forsyth. I enjoy the Mrs. Pollifax mysteries by Dorothy Gilman. Just finished The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks, and Bible Code III. Regularly read Lee Child, Stephen White, J. Kellerman, Carol O'Connell, Vince Flynn among many.
All Time Favorite Movies: Hitchcock's Marnie; Steve McQueen in The Thomas Crown Affair; recently: The Lake House and The Blind Side.
Music: Vintage Abba, Harry Chapin, Roy Orbison, Glenn Yarbrough, Sylvia, some country & western. Mostly songs I can sing or hum-along.
Foods: Watermelon, corn-on-the-cob, dill pickles, freshly picked cherries, apricots and peaches; and home grown tomatoes vine ripened (farm girl stuff).

If friends are in town we'll go out for dinner. On any night after dinner I often play/work on the computer until the Beagle whines. He wants me in the family room so he can sit on my lap. By the time he tires and the toy Schnauzer has had her turn, I'm usually engrossed in a TV program, or in the middle of a book, or both.
