My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I've lived and worked in several countries from the Middle East, South and Southeast Asia, so I like to think that I have a "global" perspective (up for debate, I guess). While DC is home, I still travel internationally for work. I work to live, and not the other way around, but all said, I really enjoy what I do for a living. I've been described as being candid, unsparing, occasionally self deprecating, always up for an adventure; I enjoy life on my own terms. I'm somewhat unpredictable (in a good way), and believe that ability is nothing without opportunity.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
As far as work goes, I lead the international government affairs unit for a large energy consultancy. Otherwise, thinking about what I want to do next in my life/career.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Understanding and relating to people, cooking up a mean coq a vin, making the best of awkward situations (humor always helps!), and finding new ways to get in trouble.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My eyes (unusual color) and my determination.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Have too many, but just finished "In the Garden of Beasts" by Erik Larson--really good book.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1) Family,
2) My iPhone (sad, but true)
3) Eastern Market
4) Borough Market in London
5) Live music
6) Rue Monot in Beirut
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Where I'm going to have my next overseas adventure.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Hanging out with friends at a bar on Capitol Hill, catching a flight, or relaxing at home.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Shall never find its way onto the Internet!
