I am working in the IT field at the moment but Archaeology is my
true calling. I enjoy computers and everything IT dumps in my lap
but Archaeology has better puzzles. In my free time I go geocaching
with friends. I prefer the ones outside the city as the view is
better. When I am out in the country I love to take photos. I love
watching documentaries on almost any topic.
What I’m doing with my life
I rescue dogs, work, Geocache, game, read, and write. To me a full
life is exercising your mind daily, acting to make the world a bit
better, and finding pleasure in the world around you.
I’m really good at
Writing, learning, fixing computers, excavating, procrastinating. I
just finished my bachelors in Archaeology and I am working in IT
until it is time to do my masters. I'd like to go all the way to
The first things people usually notice about me
Not sure, I am reserved until I know someone. Probably my never
ending supply of useless trivia.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: High fantasy, some urban fantasy and pretty much anything that catches my eye that is well written.
Movies: Action! Fantasy, Sci Fi. NOT Chick movies.
Shows: Dramas, documentaries, Doctor Who, Firefly
Food: Pizza, sushi, steak... I am pretty flexible
Video Games: WoW, Star Wars Old Republic, Skyrim (just started) Oblivion, KOTOR 1&2, Guild Wars 2
The six things I could never do without
In no particular order
1. Computers (including smart phones and tablets, I adore
2. Books (Ebook and paper.)
3. Dogs (just 1 or 2 at a time)
4. Knowledge (Total fact junky!)
5. Restaurants (I have minimal kitchen skills)
6. Archaeology (I want to know how we became what we are now. How
did we go from hand axes to handheld computers?)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The Past, not mine, the world's. How interconnected it was even
before there were domestic horses. The reason it was
interconnected... GEEKS. Geeks figured out how to make pots, how to
write letters, how to create metal...
That's not all, of course, random thoughts flit through resulting
in some weird thought trains.
On a typical Friday night I am
Geocaching, video gaming, writing, reading, out for supper or
coffee with friends. Not at a club. I am not fond of crowded, loud
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Archae comes from archaeology and Pedia from Wikipedia in reference
to my love of trivia.
You should message me if
You like good conversations, geocaching, archaeology, or computers.
