I'm married. We're poly. I feel I don't have to explain this what with it being the 21st century and all.

To be extremely clear, I'm not looking for a unicorn. But if you have not yet seen "Space Unicorn" on Youtube, you should drop everything right now and go watch it.

I love Pike Place Market, especially in the early morning before the crowds appear. The market has the best Bavarian meat shop and it has the only crumpet bakery in Washington that I know of. If you want to make a date to eat crumpets, drink tea and then stop for Weisswurst, let me know.

I play Pathfinder. I like table-top RPGs. I used to work for the company that makes Dungeons & Dragons.

I like the zoo. I like great apes. As a kid one of my heroes was the Gombé chimp named Michael because he was the smartest chimp in the rainforest. Seriously--he took over the whole chimp tribe just by banging a couple of metal water jugs together. He was a chimp evil genius. I totally wanted to grow up to be like him, except with less fur. I feel that I have come near to succeeding. Especially with regards to having less fur. Which is good because that would, you know, be scratchy and uncomfortable otherwise.

I'm writing. I'm working. I'm going to the zoo, the Pacific Science Center, and the SAM. I'm loving local burlesque, especially the Can Can and Anita Goodman and Ella Titsgerald.

My eyes. Or sometimes my Very Serious Look. (Really. Sometimes it's like I'm walking around under a stencil that says "I Are Serious Person. This Is Serious Post.") I smile sometimes. I smile often, in fact. I promise. Just not in front of cameras. This is because I hate cameras. There is only one photographer on earth who has been able to get me to smile for a camera consistently and she is now our family photographer forever.

I spend a lot of time thinking about the future. I think about computers, theology, philosophy and politics. I also think about snow. I grew up in the tropics. Snow is mysterious and somewhat scary.

I spend a lot of time thinking about the fall of civilization. It's a bit of a hobby. I rather enjoy end-of-the-world myths.

Watching a movie, working late, reading a book, out at a show.

I love burlesque and cabaret. Sometimes on Friday, I'm out at the Can Can Cabaret. Sometimes I'm at another of the many, many shows going on around town.

I once had a crush on the heroine from the Gummy Bears animated TV show. I saw no reason why her two-dimensional nature should get in the way of our love.
