I'm kind of intense, when it comes down to it. I'm big, quick, and sometimes louder than I mean to be. Make no mistake, though, I am also a consummate gentleman.

Honestly, I just want to be your friend, even if you aren't as cool as me. You are likely a genuinely wonderful person in your own way and I cherish you for it, no matter who you are. I'm hoping to find people with which I can have incredibly engaging conversations, I've decided I can never acquire too much knowledge.

I do my best to take care of myself in such a way that it helps me take care of those around me. In case of a sudden drop in cabin pressure, secure the oxygen mask to yourself first, right?

I break video games for a living. It's pretty great, although crunch time is nuts. I fell off the face of the earth between July and November, and have only recently resurfaced. I'm glad to see everything is mostly where I left it.

Playing with fire, apparently. People keep telling me I'm good at it, so I guess I must be, right?

I'm also really good at cleaning my room. I mean really, really good at it. I could teach a class.

I try to be really good at everything I do. Otherwise, why would I be doing it?

Generally, I think it's the mustache. If you don't dig well-groomed facial hair, then you might as well just stop here. Also, you might seriously consider leaving Portland.

My favorite books of all time have got to be The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. I've read them more times than I can count, yet none in the last several years. This needs addressing.

I like Kung Fu and Caper movies a lot. High-flying kicks or complicated schemes are always a blast. That said, I will enjoy almost any movie in which the acting, writing, and cinematography are well-executed. I'm far more interested in production values than genres.

My rule for liking music is about the same as that for movies. I feel that if an artist really puts some quality work into their craft, the result will likely be beautiful. I will listen to anything that is well-made, and appreciate the musicality even if I can't enjoy the style.

As far as food goes, I have a wide range of tastes. Cuisine from any region, prepared with skill and good ingredients, pleases my palette, and I'm almost always ready to try new things.

On a personal note, I feel that this essay should have a prompt for favorite games. The way people play games and how they choose to play them often indicates a great deal about their personality.

Finding new ways to be a better person. I am in a constant pursuit of new skills and ideas, whether they are practical not.

Almost always looking for something to do out of the house. If nothing comes up, I curl up with a game or book, depending on how interactive I'm feeling.

I really enjoy musicals, and I wish I was The Doctor.

March of the Penguins was the only movie that ever made me cry.
