My self-summary
I love life. I love to love. I am a ridiculously outgoing, caring, fun-loving dude, and I'm not afraid to speak my mind at any time. If that's an issue, I'm sorry... well, actually I'm not. If that's an issue, you probably should re-evaluate your values and think about why you would want someone to lie to you. I'm just sayin' :P

I have been in the military for 6 years, and I'll probably stay in for another 14. The retirement benefits are ridiculously good and the free health care really can't be beat. I love what I do and I am good at it, so why change it?

I am an adventurer, in many ways. I like to explore life. I like trying new things, meeting new people, etc. I have few social boundaries, so don't be surprised if I talk to you as if we have known each other for years the first time we meet. I'm ridiculously open, honest, and 100% comfortable with who I am and what I'm feeling at any given time.

I've been through a lot in this life, and it's left me with a certain comfort level in everything that happens. I don't get upset, and don't panic in crazy situations, and I don't let silly things get to me. There's just no point in that. I'm calm, cool, and collected when I need to be, but I prefer to be outrageous, energetic and lively the rest of the time :)

I believe that a little bit of perspective goes a long way, and if people just had a little of it in their lives, it would makes things way easier. Unfortunately, most people get lost in the herd.
What I’m doing with my life
Well, as I said, I am in the military. Due to horrid management of human resources, somehow, my Battalion, Brigade, and Division (echelons of command in the military, which I can teach you all about) allowed the entire Administrative section of my Battalion to retire, transfer, or deploy to different areas. This left my Battalion with no Administrative folks to run the show, which hosed roughly 575 Soldiers. So, I received a phone call, asking me if I would be interested in doing some Admin work for my Battalion (which is not the job I enlisted for, or my area of expertise), to which I responded, "I'll be there tomorrow morning." I packed up my stuff and moved from Indianapolis to South Bend, and work in Michigan City. I learned everything I needed to do to make the Battalion functional, and for 6 months, I held the Battalion's Admin section together, as one person doing the job of four people, and keeping up with all the work somehow. Well, after many days of long hours, I finally got some help. They filled the other positions, and now the Battalion's Admin Section is up and running again. Now, I feel that my mission is complete, and I'd honestly like to go home, back to good ole' Indianapolis. I bought a house down there a few years ago, and I'd really like the chance to live in it for a while.
I’m really good at
Fixing situations. I have a knack for cheering people up, helping people find themselves, helping people get over tragedy, etc. I am also a very skilled glowstick ninja. I love to go to raves and dance and do lightshows. Maybe I'll show you some time. I'm pretty good at anything I genuinely have an interest in or try to do. I'm pretty smart, so I figure stuff out quickly and I learn ridiculously fast. I am good at providing purpose, direction and motivation for people as well. Part of the whole military thing, I suppose. I'm pretty good at leading people in most situations and figuring out alternative methods to situational problems
The first things people usually notice about me
I am ri-freaking-diculous. I have an outgoing personality, and that's what lights my way through life. People notice that I'm usually pretty up-beat, and pretty fun to be around. I'm goofy, but in an intelligent way. I've been described by my female friends as a "sexy nerd", whatever the hell that means.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I used to read much more when I was younger. Nowadays, I don't seem to have the spare time. However, when I was reading, it was a strange culmination of Horror, Suspense, Science Fiction, Fantasy, and Philosophy. I'm pretty studious, and have studied a plethora of topics.

I like pretty much all movies. I like musicals, action, horror, romance, drama, etc... Pretty much anything except westerns and old war movies.

For shows, I like comedy shows. I've been to see Lewis Black and he was amazing. I like going to concerts too, but people kind of act crazy at them and I don't like that.

I love all kinds of music. My favorite artist is VNV Nation. It's kind of electronica-ish from Europe. They have some of the most meaningful and poweful lyrics I've ever heard. I like pretty much everything. I can appreciate just about any type of music for what it is, except gangster rap. That's just ignorant.

As for food, I love to cook, but mostly for other people, not myself. I will eat pretty much anything, and like trying new stuff. I am a pretty badass cook, and if you're lucky, you might get to try some of my dishes some time ;)
The six things I could never do without
All you need is love. Well, I'd like to believe that, but frankly, without clothes, food, water, etc... I'd probably die, so I suppose those are pretty important. I'm ridiculously adaptable, however, and I can make due in just about any situation. I don't think I really "need" anything, other than the basic necessities to sustain life. I would be pretty sad if my kitty died though. She really is the best cat in the world. Her name is Patience, and she is adorable. She is very loving. I suppose I raised her well. :)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
My mind is constantly going. I once drew a diagram of how my brain works for someone, so they could understand how I think. I tend to think about multiple things at the same time. It's actually pretty hard to pinpoint all the things that fly through my brain at any given time ;)
On a typical Friday night I am
There really isn't any typical Friday night for me. I might be out of town off on some grand adventure, or I might be hanging out at a friend's place, or have people over at my apartment. I could be out for a run, or maybe I'm hanging out at home watcing a movie. It's pretty random. I just go with the flow.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm pretty much an open book. Our mistakes all add up to the grand sum of who we are as a person. I don't feel the need to hide anything. I'm proud of myself and who I am, and even my mistakes in the past, because they have all made me the person I am today, and I like me :)
