Our first exhibition will focus on expressing our thoughts about environmental issues: bee die off, fracking, environmental racism, etc. It is wonderful working with people who value each other and bring such creative juices to the mix. I am teaching part-time and volunteering with adults with disabilities teaching art. I will be having a show of my own work in a few months at a Portland jazz club.
I have taught art in elementary schools for the last 20 years. I am good at integrating math, science, and language arts into the lesson, enabling right brain learners a chance to grasp the concept. I am good at finding the spark in a kid.
