I am sarcastic, a bit abrasive, and awesome.
My Self-Summary
I play
video
games, not gunna lie. Deal with it. I love watching
movies with
friends. And now to
bracket random
shit to confuse
you.
I'm a student at UW-Madison and I've just declared as a film major.
Fun.
I'm originally from West Allis, a suburb of Milwaukee that hosts
the Wisconsin State Fair every year. I grew up a few blocks away
from the fair grounds. But I'm in Madison now and I absolutely love
it. Maybe it's the independence, maybe it's the atmosphere; either
way, I'm here to stay.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm a student right now, which you should know if you read the
above section. I have the best job ever and I know you'd be
jealous. I live in a house right by Camp Randall with nine other
people that I find quite fantastic.
I’m really good at
... being competitive. Some of my friends won't play Scrabble with
me anymore because I wreck them. Sarcasm too. I'm good at
that.
I'd like to think I'm a good artist, but what is defined as art
these days is so expansive. I could just be drawing scribbles. I
used to be an Art major, but I just didn't get along with artists.
Everyone claims to be infinitely open-minded, but won't listen to
or take criticism from other artists without throwing a hissy-fit.
The first things people usually notice about me
Beard? I can't really take a guess otherwise. It's not like I run
into people and say, "Hey! What is the first thing you notice about
me?" They would likely respond, "Your ability to approach complete
strangers and ask them random-ass questions." Hey, maybe my
cynicism and sarcasm are noticeable.
Or if you run into me when I'm working (more likely I'll run into
you)... you'll probably think I'm a hardass with nothing better to
do than to ruin your fun. But if I approach you, you're probably
breaking some sort of rule that I'm paid to enforce, so too bad.
I'm not a mean person, I'm just doing my job.
I'd like to think of myself as a hardass with a heart of gold.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
I love a lot of movies. If you're going to watch a movie, I'll
probably watch it too. I've also found myself getting into long
conversations about various actors/actresses' filmographies and
future rolls. I guess I could list a few though:
28 Days Later, REC, Let The Right One In, Starship Troopers, No
Country For Old Men, Little Miss Sunshine, Dark Knight, Silence Of
The Lambs, Jurassic Park, Stranger Than Fiction, Pursuit of
Happiness, Se7en, Snatch, Smokin' Aces, Lucky Number Slevin, Casino
Royale, Quantum Of Solace, Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill Vol. 1, Kill
Bill Vol. 2, Reservoir Dogs, Inglourious Basterds, Brick, The
Brothers Bloom... I could go on and on...
I've recently gotten into a huge television stint. I really
like...
Lost, Heroes, 30 Rock, The Office, Chuck, It's Always Sunny In
Philadelphia, Big Bang Theory, Upright Citizens Brigade... I feel
like I'm forgetting a few.
The only thing that I've read recently was Stephen King's "The
Mist" but only because I loved the movie version. I am definitely
considering investing in some more of Mr. King's work.
Music is quite broad too. It's cliche to say I like everything
except rap and country, but its mostly true. I'll listen to some
rap, less mainstream, more hip-hop. Favorite bands include Cake,
The Cure, Radiohead, Muse, Electric Six, The Darkness, Gorillaz,
New Pornopgraphers... the list could go on. I've had a recent dive
into some, in my opinion, more obscure stuff. Metronomy is the
greatest thing in my life. Empire of the Sun, I love you. The local
bands are really starting to grow on me as well.
Food. I just like food. Especially sushi. Yummmm...
The six things I could never do without
1) Interaction with people... seriously
2) Humor. If you cant laugh you cant live. Although there is such a
thing as laughing too much. Trust me, it's possible for someone to
laugh too much. Just ask and I'll tell you.
3) My laptop. Loosely connected to 1).
4) My iPhone. Also loosely connected to 1).
5) Cinema. I love movies; simple as that. If you're going to watch
a movie, chances are I would join you.
6) imdb.com.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How my life could be different if things had happened differently.
Its fascinating, really, but honestly, a huge waste of time.
Get rich quick plots often cross my mind. Ever notice how Pringle
cans don't have sharpness labels on them? Those things could kill
someone!
Strategies for random things. Games, work, anything.... I like
thinking about new ways to do old things too.
On a typical Friday night I am
I might be doing a wide variety of things... working at the Union,
hanging out with friends, partying it up, at my friends' bands'
show, on the computer, completely wasted, or a combination of any
of these... who knows? (except working + wasted.... not good)
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I want to meet new people. I wouldn't admit to my friends, but in
essence, that's why I'm here. No reason to hide it then.
You should message me if
You're looking for a good time or someone fun to talk to. Or if any
of my profile made you laugh quietly to yourself. Or if you think
I'm interesting. Or if you liek mudkipz. Or if I'm never gunna give
you up, never gunna let you down...
Also, if you like board games, send me a message.
Scrabble and
Settlers of Catan are my
favorites!
