I'm a pretty down to earth guy. I like the outdoors, hiking, and getting dirty. I like long walks and long talks.

Not really into material things or shopping but I really enjoy good food and cooking for friends and family.

I spend a lot of time in nature either wildcrafting (gathering plants) for both food and medicine or just for the shear joy of being outdoors. I love music and movies and I'm an avid reader. Fiction, non-fiction, whatever is currently next to my bed.

I'm passionate about politics but I think they are a lost cause.

I am really happy and excited about what I am doing and am looking forward to the future. Long term goals include buying land, having a homestead and living as close to the rhythms of life as possible.

I've recently decided to deepen my skills by going back to school and will be getting a BS in Biology and then it's off to medical school.

Being an herbalist, learning and cooking. I can cook you up some pretty amazing meals and be happy while doing it :-)

School.

Books: Way too many too list all of them. Recently read Lord of the Rings and it was fantastic. Walden, Wicked, Plenty, Derrick Jensen, Chocolate and other books by Joanne Harris. I also like books about medicine, herbs, disease and health. I read cookbooks like stories.

Movies: Amelie, The Man of My Life, I <3 Huckabees, Grey Gardens.

Music: My taste is pretty wide, everything from classical to folk, rock to pop. Highlights include Passion pit, islands, of monsters and men, the let go, enya, Elton john, loreena mckennitt, mgmt, Lana del ray, carla Bruni, counting crows...

Food: I pretty much stick to whole, natural things that I can recognize as food. I love French food and real, traditional Italian food. I have a soft spot for rescued meats (you may know it as roadkill, I much prefer the term 'rescued') and wild edible plants.

Life, cycles, the sadness and joy of life interconnected. I like to say that I remain grounded in the present with a foot in the future and a glance in the past.
