I am loud, zaftig, and doing my best.

My Self-Summary

Hello. I recently moved to Salt Lake City because San Francisco is too expensive and Cincinnati is too depressing. And I like looking at mountains.

I like going to the park, reading books, and eating brunch.

I have a small dog named Georgia. I like people who are kind and interesting, and Georgia likes people who have treats. Actually, I like treats too.

What I’m doing with my life

Reading and writing. Working only as much as required. Trying to have fun. Making plans. Hanging out with LizRECords!!!

I’m really good at

I think my parents told me it's not polite to brag, but I have a pleasant singing voice. I'm also pretty good at making small talk, but only if you're a cab driver.

The first things people usually notice about me

I have a very loud laugh. Everyone around me secretly hates it and wishes I would get laryngitis or have my vocal chords severed in a freak accident. I feel horrible about it, but I can't seem to control it.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Books: Anything by Miranda July, Lynda Barry, Mary Gaitskill, Aimee Bender. I like short stories rather a lot. Movies: Stranger Than Fiction, Death to Smoochy, Kissing Jessica Stein. Music: Sufjan Stevens, Regina Spektor, Pomegranates, The Sheds. Food: I am on a gluten-free diet. I love food, but food hates me.

The six things I could never do without

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Man's inhumanity to man. Or kittens.

On a typical Friday night I am

Reading, watching TV on DVD, or hanging out with friends. I'm sorry -- I know that's not interesting, but it's not a very interesting question.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I dislike all of the following: compliments, insults, having my feet touched by other feet, milk, fish markets, conflict, throwing things away, SUVs, watermelon, and that smell when it rains a lot and the worms all float up out of the ground and lay around everywhere all bloated and sad.

You should message me if

You have access to magical headache remedies, you are a dog whisperer, you like talking about books, or you can write me a letter of recommendation for grad school.

Or if you can tell a good story. I am very fond of stories.
