Its hard to describe myself but being a fire horse, i can say i'm
loyal, have a wit which enjoys word play, and i'm allways
inquisitive, looking for that left of centre mind zing.Im a
Assistant Manager in Administation but my real love is Music, and
theatre. I'm a musician and performance artist and this is where i
get a lot of fufillment.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm in a few rock and roll combos, which play occasionally in the
inner suburbs. I also make theatre which has a strong dance
component, i write about my everyday experience and i go to work
and sit at my computer, then cycle home. I'm generally happy with
life and i like to keep busy with friends, activities that keep my
bod fit, and mind mind active with new experiences.
About to move to the country later this year. I've recently
developed a love for bush-walking. today i went to Kinglake
national park and it was delightful. having a car really gives you
that independence. its my first car in 23 years. i'm doing Qi gong
and buddhist practice and study group.Just started a solo
performance art piece, which is lots of fun, there's nothing like
throwing your body around a performance space.
I’m really good at
Making stuff up, walking along DAREBIN creek, and enjoying life
mostly,and spelling mistakes.
The first things people usually notice about me
People find me quiet, but i'm like a mirage or a snail in their
shell, I'm slow to reveal myself like a slow cooked meal, but i do
grow on people when they get to know me. In short I'm a very shy
person, which is maybe why i took up arts.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I love reading, but dont have a partcular favorite. i will read
fiction, non fiction, philosposhy, and books about rock and
rollers.Recent reads include Terry Southern,Paul Theroux,Gilbert
Sorrentino and Rudolph Wurlitzer,Gary Indianna, but I've also been
reading books on Communist Soviet archetecture, Tibeten rites and
ceremonies and Poetry about surveillance by John Hollander.
I love European films. My favorite era is the early 1970's.I have
big soft spots for Andrei Tarkovski's Solaris, Carol Reed's The
third man, and the most recent film that really has moved me most
would be You, the living by Roy Anderson. I'm an auteur kind of
feller, but i love a good Hollywood 1940's comedy and much as the
next guy. I'd rather have an interesting story than special
effects, or crash bang blow it up.
I have a lot of vinyl long players, and my taste goes from modern
classical, to Hank Williams, from 60's pop to post punk. Here's a
list: The Velvet Underground,Cluster,Richard Youngs,Bill Fay, The
Free Design,Laughing Clowns, Popol Vuh, Thinking Fellers Union
Local 282, Shin Joong Hyun,The Beach Boys, Scott Walker, Devo,This
Heat, The Ancients, Rodney Cooper, Snawklor and many more.
In Melbourne we are lucky to have the food of the world here.
Probably my favourite cuisines would be Ethiopian, Turkish, and
Japanese. When i move country its the biggest thing i will
I also love to cook especially when I'm entertaining friends. Qinoa
fritters and bulimbimy are great, but so is a mung Bean Quiche, and
Tsampa a simple Tibettan desert .
The six things I could never do without
In no particular order.
My collection of Vinyl long players.
Fresh Air and peace and quiet.
Close friends and family.
My beautiful blue car.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The fresh air of the countryside.
On a typical Friday night I am
Either going out for dinner, an arts opening, music show or reading
a book at home or listening to the football on the radio (ABC of
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I can be a show pony when i perform. i think outside of that i'm
fairly Normal and down to earth. I like to dance in my room to
James Brown or Kraftwerk, or Armad Zaheer. Sometimes i get
embarrassed and pull down the blinds.
You should message me if
