My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
First off, I'm poly! Secondly, I'm looking for either long-term or casual dating, preferably with someone who actively compliments my current relationship(s).

That being said, if you like talking about psychology, debating religion, or just goofing off and being silly, keep reading. :)

Let's see. How to summarize myself... I am a total geek and very proud of it! I spend a lot of time working on improving myself intellectually and emotionally. One of my highest priorities is improving the gentleness and clarity of my communication. I sing pretty much constantly, and I love to sit around and play music with people, both casually and with either of the two bands I'm in. I'm also a huge fan of filking, instafilking about pretty much anything, and hosting filk circles.

I am strange in that I have a baseline level of caring about ...everyone, that seems to sit higher than most. I love everybody. Everyone deserves compassion and care and respect and safety and love. And then when I meet people and get to know them personally, I love them even harder. And then sometimes I fall in romantic love with them. But I love everyone unless they have proved themselves really not deserving of it. And even then I still feel compassion for them. It can be kind of exhausting, but as Watsky says, "I prefer it to the alternative."

So I treat people like I love them. Because I do.

I spend most of my time smiling, and the plethora of smileys used in this summary and throughout my profile actually pretty accurately represents how much I smiled while writing these. :)

I'm polyamorous. :P I consider myself sapiosexual, and pansexual, so keep that in mind when deciding whether to message me or not. :) I'm kinky and queer and probably other fun things that I can't think of off the top of my head. :) I tend toward the submissive and masochistic side of things, but can be somewhat switchy depending on the partner. I really prefer to sub though.

I love to share knowledge, but if people get into an argument about something where both sides are correct, or worse, both sides are -wrong-, I am liable to jump in with actual facts that diffuse the situation yet make a solid point in regards to whatever they were talking about.

I am dedicated, loving, and enthusiastic.
(Alternate three words, for those who get the reference: Billionaire, Playboy, Philanthropist)
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Working on becoming the best version of myself that I can be. I choose to live Kaizen, which translates to "continuous improvement."
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Counseling, being compassionate, singing, playing guitar, being passionate about other people's passions, learning and growing, babysitting, cutting hair, appreciating people.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Judging by the catcalls and stares, probably the size of my breasts. Other than that, likely the fact that I am singing.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Oh man, this is always one of the more difficult ones. Let's see...

Books: The Miles Vorkosigan Saga by Lois McMaster Bujold, Hello, Cruel World by Kate Bornstein, Anything written by Tamora Pierce, anything written by Laura Ingalls Wilder, anything written by L. M. Montgomary, anything by Terry Pratchett, Anne McCaffrey's books, Neil Gaiman's Sandman, Heinlein, Libba Bray, Asimov, The Fire Within (and it's sequels) by Chris D'Lacey, and many many others.

Music: This is the worst one. I have a very eclectic taste in music, and I always find it really hard to list it off. This would be one of those things people should ask me about if they are curious. Since I have to make a partial list, here are some of my top favorites: Rise Against, Suzanne Vega, Radiohead, ABBA, Bob Kanefsky, Heather Alexander, Julia Ecklar, Emilie Autumn, Evanescence, Vixy and Tony, Tim Minchin, Amanda Fucking Palmer, Dresden Dolls, Leonard Cohen, Ani DiFranco, Tori Amos, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Frank Hayes, Rammstein, Eisbrecher, Pink Floyd, Mickey Phoenix, Doubleclicks, The Offspring, Seether, Alexander James Adams (who I have now had the pleasure of performing with), Pentatonix, Dessa, Watsky, Barenaked Ladies, Matchbox 20, Weezer, Marcy Playground, Postmodern Jukebox..

Food: Tomatoes, raspberries, bagels with cream cheese and locs, salmon sashimi...

Video Games: WoW, Soul Caliber 5, Skull Girls, Mario Kart, Zelda games (specifically Ocarina of Time), Rock Band, Guitar Hero, DDR...
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Music, compassion, my loved ones, people to love me, hope, and the belief that everyone can be helped to grow into themselves and thus have a better quality of life. :)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Why life is the way it is, my own psychology, how to help my friends in life, how to better myself in useful ways, the people I love, ways to improve the world, music, beauty, and hope.

...oh. And sex. Lots of thinking about sex. xD

And most recently, how incredibly calming and beautiful the sound of rain outside my window can be on a still night in the city.

And the fact that I am currently a lot like Steven, but oh my god I want to grow up to be Garnet. "I am made of love" is a concept I strive for unceasingly.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Either on a date with one of my delightful shiny people, or watching Steven Universe with my dad and sister. :)
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
The most private thing I will admit here is that I am diagnosed with multiple mental illnesses. I have Major Depressive Disorder with Psychotic Episodes (I sometimes hallucinate or have delusions about my value in the world when I am in a depressive episode), ADD, and chronic anxiety. These things make my life a lot harder, but I'm working on not letting them define me. Right now life is mostly a matter of staying alive day to day, but even that is worth it.

Also bonobos have the right idea. That is all.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
a) You are higher than an 85% match with me.

b) You are prepared to have read my profile and followed these guidelines (if I get a message from someone who obviously just glanced at my picture and decided to message me, I simply won't respond.)

c) You are interested in actually having conversations, as opposed to simply telling me we should fuck without knowing me at all.
