My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
To write something like this is difficult for I am beyond definition (actually I would think this would go for any entity). To be easily definable is analogous to shallowness. I am shy, but once I know people I can be annoying talkative. If I was into fashion, I might be goth. Some have described me as gothic. I am a thinker, a philosopher, a writer, a poet. I suck at everything I do, and yet I exel. I am lazy, but once I start something I usually keep going until I finish. I am atheist, agnostic, and deeply spiritual all at once. I question, deny and reafirm the existense of Being. I've gone from almost being Born Again, to militant atheist, to Wiccan, and to unsure. I am enthralled by the teachings of Confucius and the Buddha. I enjoy the philosophical meanderings of Marcus Aurelius. I have been called conservative because of my unwillingness to change my (boring) appearance. I live(d) in a small old fashioned town. But, many of my ideals are progressive and socialist. In 2000, I would have voted Bush, but in 2004 I voted Kerry because I think Bush is a total failure. I'm hoping that McCain will run in the next election. Ralph Nader gets my vote if I don't like either candidate.

I am shy, dedicated, and geeky.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Becoming an active member in the Society for Creative Anachronism or SCA. Right now I've been practicing Knife, Axe and Spear throwing. I'm also pursuing a masters degree in history at Shippensburg University. Hopefully it will eventually lead to a Ph.D.

I've completed my fourth semester for my M.A. Have learned that there are basically no jobs for history majors (partially thanks to Bush, but not all the blame goes to him). Right now I'm working at Target as part of the logistics team just to be able to pay the bills.

I'll also be continuing work, but starting actual academic work on my thesis which will focus on the 1853/1854 congressional term of Gerrit Smith. If you know who John Brown was, you should know who Gerrit Smith was.

I'm now also a Graduate Assistant at the University, and besides babysitting undergraduate classes, I'm working on a project for documenting the black cemetery in Shippensburg.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
History History History. If I know the subject area really well I can see all sides. I can be somewhat philosophical also. Oh, and I'm really good at pushing peoples buttons. Don't know why, I just find out how when I get to know a person, and then I do it without thinking. I have left a wake of very pissed off people, hehehe.
The first things people usually notice about me

My blue eyes. I guess people can get lost in them or something. My hair also, when it's shaggy.

Life in general... Of course I think a lot about history ... religion/philosophy is also often a topic I'm figuring out. politics also. Often i mix history, philosophy, religion, and politics all together, they often go hand in hand. I'll get back to you when I finally figure it all out and write it down. mmmm, the meaning of life, eh? Monty Python does a good job. Is there a possibility of Utopia?
