My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Lean, fit, healthy, happy, active and financially secure. Now working on reaching the next level physically, intellectually, and spiritually! I’ve enjoyed a challenging and rewarding tech career with some of the best-known corporations in SV and now find myself in a good place…free, open, and ready to start the next chapter. (Yes, I’ve passed The Marshmallow Test!) Looking for a fun, fit, smart, strong, confident, and happy woman to share it with. Oh, and add compassionate and loyal...because I am too. Is that you?

“The present moment is filled with joy and happiness. If you are attentive, you will see it.”

What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Practicing healthy eating, cycling, hiking, and catching up with the many, many amazing things the Bay Area has to offer. Just completed a Project and Program Management Certificate program at UC Santa Cruz Extension. Volunteering with the Silicon Valley United Way. Planning my “encore career.” Enjoying yoga class. Life is good!
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
...connecting with people and helping them to reach good outcomes. This is what I work hard to do for my clients at the United Way. Listening, empathizing, finding solutions. Looking for the upside!
The first things people usually notice about me

Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books - Love to read. Current bedside books are Greg McKeown's "Essentialism" and Arianna Huffington’s “Thrive." Walter Isaacson’s book on Steve Jobs was hard to put down. BTW, just heard a riveting interview with Isaacson about his latest book, “The Innovators.”

Movies – Huge movie fan. Love intriguing plot twists -- Memento, Mulholland Drive, Shutter Island, Identity. Also like documentaries (20 Feet From Stardom, Robert Reich’s Inequality For All, The Unknown Known). Coen brothers!

Shows – Devoted to NPR, PBS, the BBC, and KQED (yes, I send in my donation to KQED every year). Recently enjoyed "Design is One" about Massimo and Lella Vignelli. Binge-watched Breaking Bad on Netflix with my daughter. Now watching Sherlock and In Treatment.

Music – The Classics: Zeppelin, Stones, Clapton, Blue Oyster Cult, Duran Duran, Elton John, Natalie Merchant and 10,000 Maniacs, Dire Straits, Steely Dan, Santana, U2, Fleetwood Mac, The Pretenders, B-52s, etc. etc. Also like Pink, Maroon 5, Lana Del Ray.

Food - Hey, I grew up in Hawaii. I'll try anything!

Other interests - Cycling, hiking, sport motorcycles (I ride a Diablo Black ’09 Kawasaki ZX-6R…a road rocket for two), volunteer work, coffee, wine, talking about what’s going on in the world and trying to make sense of it all...
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My two wonderful daughters (all grown up!)
Coffee
A glass of wine in the evening
Smart, witty conversation and laughter
My Specialized Roubaix Elite
Books, movies, good design in all forms
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How to make things better for me, the ones I love, and for those around me.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
At home catching up with one or both of my adult daughters, enjoying a glass a wine, maybe whipping up something yummy (yes, I cook!), checking out what’s new on Netflix or PBS…or having dinner out and chilling over drinks (preferably somewhere unique and exotic!).
The most private thing I’m willing to admit

...anything here piques your interest, or if you just want to share something about you and your life. I reply to all messages so you're guaranteed to hear back from me. I'm not on A-List, so if you happen to "like" me I may not know who you are...and that would be a shame.

Member of ACTC. Message me if you are into cycling too!

All photos are from this year. Everything in my profile is straight up. (I'm often told that I look a lot younger than my age -- good genes and staying active help.)

And some gentle advice...no point in just wishing and hoping and lighting a candle to our patron, Saint Raphael, and leaving it all to chance :). Think about taking a tiny risk and sending that first message if you find someone who truly sparks your interest. Carpe diem!
