I am artistic, intelligent, and shy.
My Self-Summary
Let’s see, where do I begin?
I'm a college student studying towards a degree in Elementary
Education and am currently student teaching. It's a blast, but the
work load could be the death of me. I go to school at Penn State's
Main Campus, but live in Langhorne, PA, which is close to
Philadelphia.
I'm also rather artistic and love a good
art project, because art is the easiest way
for me to express my inner self when the words elude me (or I'm too
shy to just come out and say it). For example: I've had a pen
explode in the pocket of a pair of jeans once back in high school,
leaving a nasty black stain on one side. Instead of getting rid of
the pants I grabbed a sharpie and began to draw on them. I have
since stopped wearing them as much as I did a few years ago, but
they're still a good conversation piece. Recently, I have come into
possession of a Bamboo Fun drawing tablet, and I am starting to
make more drawings with that, my new favorite toy (see profile
picture lol).
I also love
music,
and it has a great influence on my life and can sometimes be
reflected in my artwork. I love
movies too, but I don't pretend to know a
whole lot about the film industry, what I pick up comes mostly from
my roommate who is an avid movie critic and it rubs off on
me.
I kind-of sort-of taught myself to play bass
guitar, I never considered myself
'spectacular' at it, but it was something I could be slightly proud
of. I have fallen out of practice a tad, and I always keep meaning
to pick it back up but something always distracts me from it.
What I’m doing with my life
Right now I'm in college working towards my degree in Elementary
Education. I am currently a super senior. I'm graduating a semester
late because I was not sure what I wanted to do going into college,
but all the pieces seemed to fall into place in the end. I've
always been great with children, but wasn't sure I wanted to make a
career out of it until now.
Outside of school work (which I procrastinate doing a lot) I pretty
much do what ever comes up, I prefer to live in the moment rather
than make plans.
I’m really good at
I'm rather artistic, I draw a lot and paint sometimes when the
situation calls for it.
I'm great with kids, but I already said that.
Making typos, lots and lots of typos...
The first things people usually notice about me
The first thing people usually notice about me is that I'm
shy. I usually am not
the person to initiate a conversation, but once you get to know me
I have no problem opening up to people.
People also may notice that I'm pretty tall and thin, I made for a
decent basketball player in high school even though I never
actually made the cut for the school's team. I preferred the
environment of the non-school affiliated league anyways.
My ex always called attention to my lips, not quite sure what she
meant by that.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
I am probably missing a lot from these lists, but I pretty much
just copied and pasted this from my facebook profile. Sometimes I
will add and take stuff off as time passes.

The six things I could never do without
In no particular order:
My iPod/Music
My Computer
My friends
Sketch Book
Food, Air, Water, Shelter... the usual stuff
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Nothing in particular, I just spend a LOT of time
daydreaming. Sometimes gives me
good fodder for drawings.
On a typical Friday night I am
Just having fun with my friends, maybe order a pizza, grab a couple
movies and some beverages. This doesn't mean that I don't value
spontaneity either... on occasion, we'll take a random road trip
just for the hell of it. I don't always come up with the idea, but
I'd be happy to go along with it.
The new-ish dollar theater near State College is becoming a lot of
fun. I'd watch that for a dollar!
Last ditch scenario if no one can hang out: playing video games
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
That I'm even on this website u.u
You should message me if
... you want to get to know me a little better. I'd love the chance
to make new friends, acquaintances, and [insert other titles
here].
It takes me a little bit of effort to build up the courage to send
someone a message, so by all means feel free to start up a
conversation and send the first message.
Sadly, being a student teacher means I have almost no time to
myself anymore, so I rarely check this sight unless I get an e-mail
notification or if I need a quick break from the mind-boggling
amount of work I have. = (
