My self-summary
Okay, first things first. I'm tired of seeing one or two (or obscured) photo profiles! If you expect to get the attention of quality men, I PROMISE you will have MUCH more success with more full-body and clear faced pics. Regardless, if you don't have such posted, I'm likely going to move along to other profiles. Call me/it whatever you want - superficial, yada, yada, yada, but it is what it is. If you don't know that ALL men are VISUAL creatures, then you have your head in a hole and are NOT paying attention! Don't blame us for it; understand us and that we can't help it. Just as you wish we would understand that you appreciate good listeners, sensitivity, respect, talking about emotions, etc. Yes, I DO pay attention.

Anyhow, the following article (published 12/14/12) gives a very good summary of what I'm all about (and even reveals my "true identity"...oooh, SO dangerous:): http://www.dailyreportonline.com/PubArticleDRO.jsp?id=1202581393018&thepage=1&slreturn=20121115212252 (and my hairline is NOT receding! I was just stupid enough to forget about the photo shoot for the article and shaved my head the day before). You can also find a video from CBS 46 News from last Friday (04/26/13) in which I was interviewed about a class action lawsuit I recently filed against Park Atlanta - don't we all love them :) I reference these not to "show off" (but so what if so? Should we not be proud of our accomplishments/endeavors?) but rather so you know exactly who I am, what I look like, sound like, etc. I've got nothing to hide (not from you anyway:)

Okay, so WHY DOES ALMOST EVERYONE LIST "COFFEE" AS ONE OF THEIR "SIX THINGS..."?? That really perplexes me. I'm as big a fan of stimulants as anyone, but to rank coffee so highly is downright disconcerting. Oh, and a third is worth mentioning: I am VERY tired of wasting my time with preliminary lengthy message/email/text msg. exchanges and a reluctance/procrastination when it comes to meeting in person. Again, I enjoy writing more than you do (and I do a tremendous amount of it professionally), but enough is enough, and I'd rather find out if we even have some chemistry or the potential to hit it off BEFORE all the time consuming exchanges (you will wish I didn't know how to type if we were to date, bc I write fast, well and in great detail). Anyhow...Basically I'm a relatively normal (but not typical), healthy, very active native Atlantan trial attorney who is addicted to road bicycling and looking for a serious/committed relationship. It's time; I've sewn my oats much more than enough and am definitely ready to settle down. In addition to cycling, I love backpacking/hiking, tennis, Frisbee, soccer and basketball. I travel frequently - and unlike all the other profiles which say "I love to travel" I actually do it (just got back from NYC last night (10/08/12) and am headed to Japan, Beaver Creek and Miami in the next few months - but Spain is my favorite). But why is a love for travel such a popular thing to say? Let's be honest, 90%+ of the guys on here not only don't travel often themselves, they sure as hell can't afford to take you to the exotic places you SAY you love/want to go. You know you just LOl'd there, in which case I deserve a sweet message just for that :)
What I’m doing with my life
Again, see the following article for the best summary: http://www.dailyreportonline.com/PubArticleDRO.jsp?id=1202581393018&thepage=1&slreturn=20121115212252. Over the last decade I've developed a successful law practice which I continue to build - civil litigation with emphasis on consumer protection, credit and banking, I've written hundred of poems, articles and essays, many of which have been published, I've mentored young lawyers. I've become a Category 4 USCA road cycling racer, am the father to two great little pugs and I'm excited to have an interesting partner join me in life's big and little adventures.
I’m really good at
Pool/billiards, alpine skiing, ping-pong, darts, cycling, litigating, writing, reading, trivia, flirting, cooking, making life interesting, providing food for thought, creating controversy, speaking out on behalf of the weak and meek, chess, spelling/grammar, Scrabble, craps, romanticism, getting good concert/event seats, networking and kissing...:)
The first things people usually notice about me
For reasons still a bit mysterious, most people assume I'm a trial lawyer long before they know that is true (even when I'm dressed casually, but almost every time I'm wearing a suit or sport-coat). And (this is unrelated to the lawyer assumption:) I'm often on my bike, so people frequently notice the silly Lycra "kit" I'm wearing, or my extremely bright flashing front/rear lights if I'm riding at night :) My thick head of hair has often been the source of much commentary over the years, as have my two pugs, when I'm walking them...

I spend a lot of time thinking about
That it's sad and tragic that we are so dependent on oil/motorized vehicles, and treat nature/the environment so poorly (no, not a hippie by any means, but a nature lover). How anyone can be dumb enough to be Pro Life or in favor of the death penalty or opposed to legalizing pot. How we have become a Nanny/Granny state, in which even good ole bullying and name calling is considered unlawful harassment, and everyone who has a sore knee or is obese thinks they deserve special legal protections and there is no personal responsibility for anything anymore. How wonderful it would be if the world had about six billion fewer humans, and or if Earth was 1,000 times larger, and it took a lifetime to get halfway around the equator, with the highest mountains being hundreds of miles high, canyons dozens of miles deep, etc. I also think a lot about whether I can justify spending $8,000 on a new bicycle, and if so, what kind I should get, and whether I want disc brakes, Campy or Shimano components, electronic or mechanical shifters, 58cm or 80cm deep rims, Pinarello, BMC, Colnago or Willier - or another Cervelo...Life is full of tough choices.
On a typical Friday night I am
....working, but mainly because I'm tired of the bar/club scene, don't like to get up early and enjoy the practice of law so much that I don't mind doing it on Fri. night - yet not so much that I wouldn't MUCH prefer to share my Fri. nights with a significant other [unless I had an upcoming trial or hearing, in which case I would still *prefer* to spend it with someone, but I am also serious about my profession and am very passionate about being and becoming the best attorney and helper/counselor I can be to those who seek my assistance for what are often extremely emotional and important life events].
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm extremely open and candid and there is virtually no topic off limits with me. Seriously. I'm probably too candid, but I don't have much to hide or that I'm embarrassed about.
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 25–39
  • Near me
  • For long-term dating, short-term dating, activity partners
You should message me if
You're genuinely interested in a long-term committed relationship, are not interested in a protracted lengthy email exchange before speaking/meeting (wasted far too much time with that in the past), are not an animal/dog hater (I have two pugs and LOVE most mammals), have at least above-average grammar/writing skills (e.g. do not confuse "too" with "to" or "you're" with "your"), lead a healthy/active/fit lifestyle (which is not to say you don't indulge or drink or party - I certainly do:) and enjoy and actually participate often in outdoor activities...
