My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I like good beer, good food, and good friends. I'm a pretty huge cinephile. Its been my biggest passion for quite a few years now. Im DoP currently on a short film this fall, and still trying to get myself to write more often for my screenplays. I miss the days when the history channel used to have actual history. I wish I could simultaneously live in a mountain cabin in Alaska/somewhere in Scandinavia, and in or around a big city. I've never bothered to take a comprehensive personality tests, but it would be one of the introverted ones.
I'm more of a gather some friends and hang out while playing a board game, watching a movie, or kicking ass at some video games person, rather than a pop some molly and go rage for hours guy, but sometimes getting out of the comfort zone is good times.
Im also a big sports fan, mostly Football and hockey. I'm begrudgingly finishing up a degree in Biochemistry. Not that it isn't interesting, but what I love isn't practical at the moment so my stupid left-brain is giving me some sort of backup plan.
Late fall/winter is my favorite time of year. It's so much easier to put warm clothes on and be comfortable, and I love snow. Give me a snowy day in the mountains over a sunny day at the beach any day of the week.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I play some Men's league Hockey with friends. Great workout and tons of fun.

I watch a lot of films, all sorts of genre's. I try to pick out or save the ones I know my friends would actually enjoy.

Finding ways to get myself to write more often.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
-Analyzing stories/art/creative direction
-Relating to people even when I shouldnt be able to
- Skiing/snowboarding , and Ice-Skating (Im definitely a winter person)
-Giving advice
The first things people usually notice about me

Maybe My Height? That or the facial hair I guess.

If you ask me to pick a favorite or make an ordered list you're in for a long conversation! I used to put a long list of favorites here, but in the fruitless effort to reduce clutter, here is a website I use to keep track of it all. If you actually want to look through it, just know that the order within lets say all the 5 star films isn't my own preference, just the order they were added.

Tv: The Wire, The Sopranos, Rome, True Detective, Six Feet Under, Deadwood, Band of Brothers, Generation Kill, Breaking Bad, House of Cards, bojack horseman

Music: My musical fluency tends to take a back seat to my adoration of all things film. That said, I'm still a living breathing person so I do like music. I have found myself listening to nearly every genre at one point or another depending on mood. Currently I've been more on a post-rock and stoner rock kick. Some favorites at the moment include: The Sword, Colour haze, Buckethead, Bear vs Shark, Blockhead, Kalmah, Deathcab, Gifts from Enola, NMH, the microphones, plus plenty more.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.

-Sports, both watching and playing them (Im a huge football and hockey fan)
-A good story to be immersed in, whatever the medium
-A computer of some kind
-French fries
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Well I do hope to be a filmmaker, so I spend a lot of time creating stories. I have a few in my head I've been working on for quite some time.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Hanging out with friends in some capacity, or at home deep into some story whether it be a film, tv show, video game, or book.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit

My family growing up was very emotionally distant, so film became my only real emotional outlet growing up as a teenager.

you want to talk about any of the stuff I mentioned above. If your a film buff, I'm always glad to talk about it! If we have something in common that we can share then by all means.

Oh and please say something more than "hey!" that lack of effort isn't likely to make me want to respond.
