Please allow me to introduce myself...I'm a man of wealth and taste....(I wish!)
Glasgow born but growing to love all that London offers. I do a mean cockney mockney accent impression.
I enjoy travelling, running, hiking along the coast, films (the obscure ones that make you think, and possibly have to read subtitles!) and all the usual razzamataz! I quite like beer.
What I’m doing with my life
Exploring as much of London as possible, meeting new people as I go! Particularly the historic parts of London, say Holborn Fleet street. Bloomsbury full of tales!
I'm mildly obsessed with news and current affairs. Id like to invent something which gives me incredible wealth and kudos.
True Detective, The Wire and House of Cards are my boxsets of choice. That new quiz show with Victoria Coren Mitchell. It's taxing.
I’m really good at
- Thinking of stuff to say to avoid awkward silences.
- Defusing tense situations with something sublime or ridiculous.
- Getting to know new people; trying new things. Saying generic things.
The first things people usually notice about me
"He's speaking some form of English, but what is it exactly?"
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Movies: Animal Kingdom, A Serious Man, In The Loop, Dr Strangelove, A Prophet, Slumdog Millionaire, City of God, The Cohen Brothers, blah blah blah The NeverEnding Story
Books: In Cold Blood, Woody Allen collection, Ian McEwan, Death In The Afternoon. Schindler's Ark. Some Woody Allen
The six things I could never do without
- wikipedia for settling arguments
- 24 hr news
I spend a lot of time thinking about
- what I used to do with my iPhone before it was cruelly stolen
On a typical Friday night I am
Friday nights are magical experiences. End of week frivolity, washed down with a few tasty ales and then a bit of tasty grub later!
